Could released 20-year-old Swansea player Owain Jones be worth looking at in pre-season? He has represented Wales at U16/U17/U19/U21 level and was named Swansea City U18 Player of the Year for 14/15 after scoring 36 goals in 48 appearances. He can play on either wing or as a striker and played a couple of games on loan at Yeovil last season.
20-year-old, Djair Parfitt-Williams, released by West Ham, could also be worth a trial. He can play on either wing and has made a couple of first-team sub apps in the Europa League qualifiers for West Ham and scored the equaliser in the 1-1 Northampton Checkatrade Trophy game.

With MK Dons signing the 26-year-old Mali international Ousseynou Cissé on a free transfer from French Ligue 2 club Tours, it got me thinking, could there be any players in France that might interest us?
According to the website transfermarkt this following now third tier Championnat National club players contract expired on 30.06.2017.
29-year-old Congo international midfielder Chris Malonga, who has scored 33 goals from 245 appearances, in a career spanning three countries. The left footer can play on either wing or centrally. He plays for Stade Laval who's average 16/17 attendance in Ligue 2 was 4,917.

DC has said before he wants to improve the infrastructure to make 'overseas' signings possible.
They're trying. I don't quite see a signing like that this window.
Personally, not against Kasim of Swindon as the DM.

Personally, not against Kasim of Swindon as the DM. 'With the Iraqi understood to have had an offer from Bristol City and an unnamed Spanish side, Flitcroft admitted that he is not going to stand in the way of someone who is determined to leave the club.' “We spoke to representatives,” he told the Advertiser. “Yaser is certainly making it clear that he wants to be somewhere else. “It’s nothing. I am a big believer that you don’t push water up a hill. You just waste time and you waste resources. So that’s that one.' www.gazetteandherald.co.uk/sport/swindontown/news/15377976.Swindon_exit_door_beckoning_for_Hylton_and_Kasim/

The lad Ethan Pinnock is going to be some player but FGR have already turned down bids from Barnsley circa £200k He's just joined Barnsley for an undisclosed fee while Harry Redknapp signs Marc Roberts for a fee rumoured to be between £3.5m-£5m. I knew about Roberts when he was at Wakefield. Warnock had him on trial at Crystal Palace.

Some crazy sums going about.
Sercombe is feeling like a bargain. I was initially worried about the price but now seems cheap.
Craziet league 1/2 window I've seen.

Will probably continue with Bradford bidding for Wimbledon midfielder Jake Reeves with an initial offer of £150k received and Blackburn have "offers in" for players and are "waiting on replies".

Cas Peters could be an interesting signing if we are thinking about going down the foreign route.
The 24-year-old, 6ft, former Holland U17/U18/U20 left winger (or striker) can cut inside and is a threat with his right foot.
He made an impact for 2nd tier Jupiler League side FC Emmen (average attendance 2,933) during 16/17 scoring 14 goals and creating 7 assists and has a career total of 57 goals from 177 games.
The top scorer in the league (same age) scored 34 goals in 39 games and moved for a reported £340k - so I wonder how much FC Emmen would want for Cas Peters?
If he was prepared to move to England and play in League One, he might prove to be better value than someone in this country of similar quality and might even provide a future sell-on profit for us in the future.

Gareth Ainsworth hopes star duo Aaron Pierre and Marcus Bean put pen to paper on their new deals offered to them recently.
Bean had an excellent second half of last season and has known Ainsworth since their QPR playing days together and Pierre is one of the most sough after defenders in the lower leagues.
“We have offered an improved deal to Aaron. Unfortunately a few top end League One clubs and a couple of Championship clubs have expressed an interest but nothing solid.
“I have been there as a footballer and we respect that Aaron wants to play as high as he can but if there is a club that doesn’t necessarily feel right for him, we here at Wycombe Wanderers definitely want to keep Aaron Pierre.”

The former SFA performance director Mark Wotte rated the 22-year-old former Scotland U15/U16/U17/U19 midfielder Thomas Reilly very highly during his time in the role.

Personally, not against Kasim of Swindon as the DM. Northampton Town are very pleased to announce the signing of defensive midfielder Yaser Kasim on a 2 year contract. m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/40494903
