Get in, not the best by the sounds of it, but the result was the important thing tonight. Our home form is very good so far with 3 wins out of 4 and only 1 goal conceded, but we desperately desperately need to start picking up some points away from home. I honestly didnt realise that. Thats a fine home record. Promotion. Pitty we can't replicate it away

Short on talent but no doubt it means something to the players.

We were warned about sh** refs but even I didn't expect it to be this bad. Got so many decisions wrong first half in their favour, second half in ours.

Most unconvincing win you're likely to see, happy with the 3 points but very much papers over the cracks

Need some strikers and can then really move on.We have non striking Strikers. Are we really creating enough chances for our strikers? If we create chances and the strikers consistently miss, then by all means we need a striker. But if the chances aren't being created for them then I disagree.

FGR on a losing streak.
I wonder if the fans will want to sack the board? If they do the owner could spend his millions in Bristol perhaps?

Really pleased that we played well for 90 minutes and thought it was our best performance of the season. I'm not surprised at all though I thought we'd play well and win tonight because we were at home against a decent side. The problems start when we play away or at home to a smaller club. We really need to pick up the away form and start to win against the smaller semi pro clubs or mid table is all we'll have. Strength of character needed on Saturday, we have the ability.

Could (and should) have had more goals! How Parkes missed that header I'll never know. Martin hitting the post, Cunnington being bundled over in the box etc. - plenty of chances. Halifax was far more unconvincing. Two aims now for me... 1) Turn 'comfortable' home wins into 'convincing' ones 2) Start picking up points away from home Then we're getting somewhere!

Most unconvincing win you're likely to see, happy with the 3 points but very much papers over the cracks It almost sounded desperate on the radio and against 10 men. I think we're in for a win one lose one season - maybe that's all we should expect. The quality isn't really there, is it ? This may sound weird but I think quality starts from the back - if you have sound defenders who can also play a bit then it can put a team on the front foot more often than not.

I'm pretty sure I read we did look comfortable against Braintree until the penalty decision. But I can see what you're saying. Braintree & Altrincham basically our worse displays of the season.

Just reading other opinions and seems most think we didn't play well at all but three points etc... I actually thought we were the better side from start to finish and created quite a few chances, Martin brought a good save from the keeper , Parkes should have scored the header and a couple just wide. Maybe I was watching a different game but I thought we were as good as the first half v Halifax but for 90 minutes this time. I can't remember the last time I thought we'd played well for 90 minutes, Plymouth at home last season I reckon, a long time ago.

Agree it largely papers over the cracks, we were vulnerable and didn't threaten enough. But was a few crumbs to build on. I thought cunnington and Martin looked promising. Win on Saturday and we may be back in track. Night all

Win on Saturday and we may be back in track. Night all A wins a win and I'm pleased. But, we still play mostly long ball, we don't create much for the strikers and are gonna struggle to win away until we've found a way of getting Taylor or White scoring.

True, but the football is improving (Forest Green away being the best showing in that respect), and this team is quite confidence driven. When that first away win comes we could really spring into action. Add Turley and Balanta to the mix on top...
