Rovers seem to lose when playing away at the big grounds in front of big crowds i.e. Portsmouth, Bradford, Bolton, Charlton. Our players seem to be overawed by the occasion or have stage fright. I don't know if it's because most of our players haven't experienced it or whether it's a mentality thing, but we just don't cope well in these type of games. We played excellently at Bolton last season but the others I'd have to agree with. It's not as if they should be as they play at home in front of 8-9k. I'm really hoping that for once we put up a good display at fratton because it's a ground I've yet to see us win at.

If he continues to be poor I reckon DC will give him the old"You no longer feature in my plans and are free to look for a new club" routine in December whilst signing the left winger he missed out on in the window just gone. Surely if we missed out on the left winger DC was after, he has signed for another club and therefore will not be available in January. Equally if we were unable to sign him last week, why would we then be able to in January if he is still with his original club. I personally think we have shown a total lack of ambition in our signings when quite clearly we need at least three more , a midfielder, left winger and big centre forward of the type that destroyed us yesterday, as it's quite clear to me Harrison and Gaffney are not that type. Lack of ambition? have you considered lack of finance? might be more realistic if you do.

Bryan Moore, the chances of him getting a new contract with the club is possible but unlikely, it's like asking a man to drink a bottle of whiskey down in one, then attempt to run up 4 flights of stairs wearing lead boots, with a bag of cement under one arm,and carrying a 8 x4 sheet of plasterboard in the other hand, possible but unlikely.

Still early days yesterday was a horror show as was the Peterorough game, A few of the new players not up to scratch yet, but they can improve you have to give them a go. Clarke has to live within his budget so he has to rely on his judgment and we have to be patient and hope he's got it right.

Bradford went the entirety of last season unbeaten at home. It's a bloody hard place to get a result at the best of times, but when both your first choice centre backs are on international duty.....

I could have swore both Sweeney and Lockyer played together when we got smashed at home to Peterborough. The fact is we have been conceding too many goals whoever has played, keep doing that and we wont pick up many points.

Bradford City do have an amazing home record though my point was more about playing in big stadiums with large home crowds. That said we didn't just lose by all accounts yesterday, we got murdered and the 3-1 was hugely flattering to us.

You have to hang in there at times when under the kosh and take your chances. I don't agree that we were murdered. We did, however have a clear problem dealing with crosses and set plays, which all our upcoming opponents will have seen, so obviously we have to put it right. If Moore had put that glorious chance away just before the break, though, who knows what would have happened in the second half.

Got to put it behind us now and focus on getting max points out of our next two home games UTG.

I agree but many posters are screaming blue murder that we didnt sign 3 or 4 more players. What im saying is the club have spent heavily already so to spend yet more is not realistic.

DC is the one who said he wanted to sign 3 strikers. We signed 2. DC is the one who said he wanted to sign a defensive midfielder. We haven't signed one. DC is the one who said he wanted to sign a left winger. We haven't signed one of those either. It is realistic to expect a balanced squad and decent options/cover for each position, especially in midfield where we are now lacking with just one player out injured.
