How about a stadium with a 360deg swiveling roof. When we play the roof is a velodrome and when the cycling is on the roof is made of grass. Come on Holtby, pull your finger out and give us what we want. a Sperm bank built into the stadium could be a could idea

Think our best chance is by building a cracking development team with talented kids, and rejecting all bids for players and get there in the next four seasons, we are not going to buy our way there, if Burton can achieve it and Yeovile did, then we have a chance. We concede too many goals to make it this season, think Tom Nichols will come good if played in his right position. Desperate for a quality left winger Jodi Jones at Cov looks good.

I am sure Wael is a kind and compassionate man.

Like I said in some other post somewhere. The Dunfords backed Ian Holloway with money to buy some decent players; Jason Roberts, Tillson, Bignott, etc in a genuine push for promotion. Ok, it failed and there was no money left in the pot. But what ambition!! If what I am led to believe is true, the new owners have infinitely more money than the Dunfords, and this led to a belief we would once again be investing in quality players to challenge for promotion. Season ticket sales reflected this new optimism that we were going to speculate to accumulate.
When I hand over my money at the turnstile it is to hopefully watch us outscore the opposition and get another 3 points in the bag. I don't pay to think about training grounds, and academies or what the ground might look like. It's the hear and now.
I just want to know, where's the ambition on the pitch?

Wonder if we would have sold as many STs had we known about the UWE falling through, the Colony stalling and the lack of signings?

Times have changed since the Ollie era though as if we'd gone up that season we could have survived, as the Mem then probably wasn't a bad ground but now the Mem is so bad it's probably one of the worse in Div 1. Unfortunately to compete in the Championship, or even top 6 in Div 1, we have to improve the training ground etc.

Like your analogy, l guess you are saying, like a lot of others, is anything productive and positive ever likely to happen. TBH l do not think so, Waq did say evolution not revolution, which generally means, we are going to do **** all, which to date has proved to be the case. To be fair they've spent on the non 1st team playing side (and also the pitch) which when you read the articles again when they took over is where he suggested he would start. Perhaps Wael's working to a 10 yr project but we all just want a 2 year one. Not “we all “ .

Signings over and above the money we received for players sold maybe? Signings that were clearly big league 1 signings perhaps? Brett pitman has not played as low as league 1 for a very long time and has always scored goals, thats a top signing on paper but his salary must be high. I like sercombe, menayese, broadbent and havnt given up on the others at all but our transfer business didnt have promotion push stamped on it at all.

Yeah it felt as if we had missed out on a number of key targets which is understandabley frustrating. I can see DC being a busy man in January, trying to strengthen in areas we have been lacking. We have the beginnings of a good side but it could take a couple of seasons of building before we can mount a sustained assault on the upper echelons of this league, which may not be a bad thing as we wait for the various projects off the field to (hopefully) move forward.
