Did Smith even make a save today? MK were awful. As were we until we scored from their mistake. That gave us the lift we needed and we were comfortable from then on. Imo we weren't awful at all. We controlled the game and apart from a goal line clearance would have lead at HT. Perhaps MK were awful because we played well?

Top stuff Tom Nichols. What’s the funny twisty turny thing Adam Smith does all about? Noticed it when he was at Northampton too? He does it before he rolls the ball out in front of him to kick it up the pitch. He probably got caught out once by a crafty striker. Once bitten twice shy. To be fair every keeper should do it. I had a Football He'll video once presented by Nick Hancock and it had a clip from the Mem of a keeper not checking if there was anyone behind and the Rovers striker(no idea who but was in the Tesco shirt) nick the ball off of him and score.

I thought we created enough chances in that first half to come in at least one goal upand we defended really well. Second half we were even better. Every player put in a shift today and it was a thoroughly deserved win.

Much needed three points today and a well deserved win and clean sheet, thankfully they missed their one chance at the end. UTG

Thought DC got it absolutely bang on today we let them have the ball in non threatening positions kept our shape and harried them once they got into our half. We looked the team most likely to score throughout and were deserved winners. Pleased for Nichols hopefully he'll kick on now, strong team performance thought our centre halves were both excellent. Job done & a fitting tribute to Geoff Dunford.

It happened to Collet at an away game, Brighton i think but could be wrong. Yeah it was Brighton By George Parris. It should have been disallowed because Parris had run off the pitch to avoid being offside. It is against the rules to leave the pitch without the referee's permission. He then came back on, again without the ref's permission, so should have been booked.

Off topic but i watched a clip of the oddest penalty outcome the other day. It was during a penalty shoot out abroad somewhere, anyhow the taker smashes the ball against the crossbar, the ball rebounds high out of shot and the keeper jumps up and runs off to celebrate with his team mates, the ball then comes down and bounces on about the penalty spot with so much spin on it that it bounces towards goal, a couple of bounces later it went in with the keeper trying to get back.

Yeah, it was a cup semi-final and 19 (NINETEEN)-19 (NINETEEN) in the shoot-out, and they missed the very next pen to lose the match.

UTG That was at the Mem v Brentford in 1997, as you said the keeper put the ball down having heard a whistle (from the home crowd lol ) and Marcus nicked it off of him and popped it home the Gas. won 2-1

Didn't look like scoring until the mistake. Did you actually watch the match? I think it was the opposite I didn't know how we hadn't scored as there were the first half Sercs/Gaffers efforts then the Locks(?) header which looked a certain goal, Gaffers also missed a good chance then after we scored missed another plus hom and Nichols should have done better when both were clean though together. Perhaps MK are poor but you can only beat who you're playing, for a change lately I don't think we had one poorly performing player.

I thought it was a very solid if not especially exiting win. The back 4 defended well although the full backs didnt overlap as much as usual. The midfield were narrow but industrious and the strikers always an outlet. Mk dons were technically good but predictable even after they brought on there £1,000,000 striker agard. Yes one of there players cost as much as our whole team, funny really.
