Pretty sure Wael has been on the terraces way before the UWE deal fell through. As for writing off sizeable amounts of cash, if it was illegal they'd be behind bars by now. Isn't it in the interest of the club that this is done anyway?
Proper money huh? You mean millions on players right? Something they said they would never do right from the word go. I really don't see why all the hatred towards Wael, but if that's your thing, carry on.
How about spending some of their money on a new stadium or state of the art training facility or actually pay their bills. Would you spend your own money on something you could get someone else to pay for?

Nick Higgs looks a lot healthier since leaving the Board.

Nick Higgs looks a lot healthier since leaving the Board. He should do, he's more popular now.

In answer to the original question, yes I still have faith in Wael to deliver the long term vision for the club, he made it clear from the outset it was not going to happen overnight, sometimes in life you have to have patience, UTG Nothing will happen Okay, a few questions for you: 1. What do you think the Al-Qadi's agenda is? 2. If not to build the football club, why have they added backroom staff and bought some land?

I've still got faith, however, a lot will depend on whether there is movement regarding the training ground in February.

This is all getting really tedious... Fact. What's really tedious is being taken for mugs, thankfully some of us refuse to be. Why? - when you seem like a tedious mug?

I do none of those things but what I do do is pay through the turnstiles to watch my team as I have done since 1979 . I really can't see the training ground happening and nether can I see us playing in a revamped or new stadium any time in the future.

Why should he elaborate? The people peddling the negative stories don't provide proof. Why should someone saying something positive?

University public seem keep to get a stadium built. if I was Wael and co, and was serious about building a stadium I would compromise a little. it is near impossible to get anything built in Bristol and we will be waiting years for anything to happen at the Mem. Build uwe, sell men ground to developers or build on it themselves if they want to make money here. Not many football clubs going to make money. Bristol Rovers will be hell of a lot more attractive to investors being the only club to have ground at a university and vice versa. benefits would work both ways. You talk about compromise a little, from what I can surmise from this whole sorry affair it would be more than a little we would be giving up. Selling the Mem to developers would not cover a third of the costs of building a new stadium, if you are then giving up a large portion of your revenue from said new ground how would you pay the investors back? If UWE want to build a stadium, let them crack on as without tenants it will never pay for itself. I dont think realistically, anyone serious believes selling the Mem would cover the cost of building a new stadium. And how do you know it wouldn't cover a third, nothing official has been released? Wouldnt investors come in when you build a ground, through sponsorship, sponsoring stands etc? We have nothing to invest in. To me, and i think others, it seems as if we are expecting to get a bargain on the land. Something had to give. We are going to be stuck in a tinpot stadium for a long time yet im afraid.

Would You care to elaborate on your original statement of fact "Nothing will happen" ? You must have insider knowledge to make such a bold statement

You never responded to this: . I've not twisted anything fella by the way albeit other than maybe some confusion regarding VAT exemption which isn't very transparent in the script of the VAT act 1994 schedule 9 group 1 paragraph 1(a) But I'm sure there are tax exemptions regarding sporting facilities Earlier you said: A couple of other things some of which you do know Dwayne sports is channel island based nothing new there but because for some unknown reason (sh1t advisors or have a go heroes) they don't know British tax law i.e. They thought that the building of the Colony and that of the UWE would be VAT free which it would be because new builds are VAT exempt but that only applies to British mainland based companies not those who are based in Guernsay. That would mean that our £40million pound plus pipe dream would've cost nearer to £50 million and the same rules apply to the state of the art training complex , none of it is going to happen. Before that you claimed to know "the truth" Also not looking forward to saying I told you so when our club goes down the toilet . Too many fans on here that won't have a bad word to say against them as they refuse to believe the truth of what's actually happening at our beloved club. The same people who trusted in Higgs and his Bod when they proposed their bullshit upon us. Truth is you can't face the truth , our club is heading for very tricky times indeed and I don't give 2 fncks who believes me on here or not , we are on a journey to oblivion, it also seems there is some truth in Ed Ware but not in the way it's purported within this thread. How can you be telling the truth if you've just admitted you don't even know what you're talking about regarding one of the claims you've made?

I am in the believe it when I see it camp.
I have no sources, contacts or inside info. I’ve seen my grand parents generation die off hoping they would see a new ground and progress and I’m pretty sure my old man isn’t holding out much hope and he’s only 65!
I’m probably the same as the majority of fans to be honest I pay to watch most Home games and half a dozen away games each season because I’ve been brought up a Gashead. If nothing changes in my lifetime I’ll still be s Rovers fan, only one reminiscing about how we almost got the UWE once upon a time.
I’m happy when we win I’m watered off when we lose but I don’t expect to see only wins otherwise what’s the point.
I don’t really think I want us to be a Prem team as growing up I watched match of the day religiously and now I couldn’t tell you more than 2 players in most Prem teams.
That level is entertainment now not football as I know it.
I distinctly remember the hysteria on here when we announced UWE plans and even then I remember thinking I’ll believe it when I’m sat in it. Regardless of who owns the club.
