Sorry but just got a bit fed up of seeing literally nothing but anti-DC posts every time I come on here. I very rarely post, but read almost every day and it had got to the point that it was either say something or stop coming on here, i was getting so depressed! Anyway, i realise i haven't said anything particularly insightful, not going to go into endless debates about why i think he should stay, but if you dont think DC should leave then maybe reply to this thread, rather than bumping the many negative threads! All the best from compton dando, see you on the thatchers end against wimbledon!

Amen!
I’ve been critical of DC this season but calling for his head is just mad.
The guy is a hero, even if we finished 20th this season, he’s done enough to deserve more from us as fans.
We’re not great right now, but trust in DC to turn it round, he hasn’t let us down thus far

Too right. It was always going to be a season of transition.

People should remember that, for a professional football manager, he is young and still learning his trade, so get off his back. He will make mistakes as we all do, the only person who never makes a mistake is the person that does nothing.

100% agree with the OP, and can’t believe we’re even having this conversation when 4 points off the play offs in L1.
For sure there are some things I don’t agree with DC on personnel wise and the summer recruitment could have been better, but he’s earned the time to put that right and push us on again (next season if not this).

I still cant believe that people want a change. After three very good seasons as soon as we don't do that well, everyone wants change. The thing is we are not doing that badly. Eventually, the players who got us through the leagues will have to be replaced with better quality but that will take time. Its now about keeping steady in this league and preparing to take the next step. Trollope broke up the promotion squad too early and it backfired and we went back down.
The reality is, if we were to get rid of DC we would probably end up with another Buckle/McGhee and I would like to think those days are long behind us.

We are 13th in league 1 with a mostly league 2 squad. The guy has done an amazing job. Yes he makes mistakes but he will grow.
I know i keep saying it but if a team with the quality of the 99/00 team couldnt go up then what chance the likes of Sinclair, Clarke, Lockyer etc.

Doubt he'd see you anyway, as you'd no doubt be patrolling Scunthorpe's corridors of power.

Signing players seems to be DC's, possibly the club's, area of weakness. The club will need to address that in January if we are going to remain safely in mid table.

But you could also argue that making too many changes at once could end up being worse. Like I mentioned about Trollope getting rid of too many of his promotion squad after a couple of comfortable mid table finishes and that backfired.

If DC wasn't already our manager, would we want him?

If we were managerless right now and could get someone with DC's record over the last 3 years,we would be over the moon. Yes we were awful after penalty decision on Friday night and most of our performances this season haven't been convincing, but I've been watching Rovers for over 40 years and actually, on the field and with the immediate management, we are in a pretty good place. My concern is all the other off field shinanagins.

I don't think there are many Gasheads who would seriously like to see DC sacked even those who posted at much were probably reacting to the Notts County disaster

Since the UWE annoucement fans have gone into meltdown. People seem to be attaching that dissapointment to anything and everything.
DC is the right man.
Wael is owner of the football and attends more games than most other owners and others on the forum.
Spending millions isn’t going to do anything other than spend millions.
