A case of again forgetting Rovers are RUBBISH away from home and playing 3 strikers...you have to earn that right or be desperate clawing a game back. POOR management im afraid. Should have played. Smith Brown Lockyer Sweeney Leadbitter Partington Sercombe Clarke Sinclair Bodin Harrison A couple of good home games and they think they can be cavalier away from home. The players are not good enough at this level to do that. Playing 4 at the back with a CDM isn't overly attacking. Most people were calling for an unchanged lineup before the game, its the weak mentality of players away from home more than anything, we know that the set of players that DC picked are good enough as evidenced by the two last home games. You would think that by now ...half way through the season it might just be noted that the team are not defensively strong enough away from home. So playing Gaffers ,Harrison and Bodin with an attacking midfield player like Sercombe might just..JUST...be over estimating how weak an opposition team is on their own patch. As it is D.C. has embarrassed himself today by forgetting the lesson he was just learning....defend strongly and earn the right to play.

Any danger of our boys reacting to the saved pen before the taker slotted it back in? The taker will always have a massive advantage - even if he stands still and doesn't continue his forward momentum he has 6 yards head start on the defenders |

That seems like a good mixture of attack and defence for me. What you would have hoped to be mentioned by now is the inability of some players to bring their game to matches away from home. There's really no excuses for that and I hope DC will let his feelings be known to the players after the match. |

The team you selected is actually the team i posted that i thought dc would pick though i wasnt certain it was a good idea because of ollie clarkes form. That said why were the same team that played so well last week so poor this? The other issue i have with your team is its in hindsight unless you suggested this on the "team for gillingham thread"? |

Although you would say that conceding 4 would show the defensive shape is awful and that not scoring would show playing so many attackers was pointless |
