I think everyone is more concerned nothing WILL happen rather than nothing HAS happened! These arguments are pointless! I think people have grown tired of hoping/ lost the ability to KTF.

Can I get this straight. Swiss Gas say's the AQ family combined wealth and annual income is a lot lower than most believed and yet they spent millions just to buy Wael something to play with? Hmmmm ok Can you telll us how many millions they have SPENT Eric? Is the money they have put in loans or equity? Is any of the money they have put in secured against the clubs assets? No idea how they funded the deal to purchase the club. There are so many 'ITK' posters, others who have been negative towards the AQ family from day one and want to spread any negative rumours they hear and others who remain optimistic - it's difficult for ordinary fans to really know what is going on. My point was that if the AQ family really have very little money as Swiss Gas suggests (and he does sound very knowledgable) then why on earth would they fork out millions just for a 'play thing' for the youngest sibling? Seems a very risky thing to do and not sensible business. I'm not making any assumptions or claiming to know the AQ families intentions, I just don't get this WAQ play thing stuff or a means of promoting his political ambitions - if those who think we're heading towards Armageddon are right then WAQ would be damaged politically I'd have thought?

bournemouth bought good players and spent quite a lot, reaping the rewards now The money they've spent recently is simply as a result of being in The Premier League. The money they spent before that, the majority of it anyway was down to selling players and bringing others in. They didn't achieve 2 promotions in 3 years like we have, they haven't got a brand new shiny stadium either. Again their owner Max Demin bought the club in 2011, 5 years before the Al-Qadi's bought us. It was a steady progress. Perspective anyone? 😉 You really should do your homework before patronising others. First the Spurs,Arsenal and Chelsea Stadium no w Bournemouth. Their owner spent massively getting them into the Premier League.

But that's not the Al-Qadi's fault is it?
Lets just throw all our toys out the pram and expect some Arab blokes just to wave a magic wand or rub a lamp and magically make the previous 140 odd years of our history disapear and miraculously make everything we've ever dreamed about come true in the space of 5 minutes? Is that honestly what you were expecting? Perspective indeed. Never said it was. But don’t worry about that. Haven’t thrown my toys out of any pram. Just expressing my frustration after all these years. And they are many (both years and frustration) Never said anything about magically making 140 years of history disappear. Not sure why I would or why you would think I would. Or reappear in 5 minutes. Apart from that that a good reply. We're all frustrated about how sh** our facilities are, and have been for over 30 years. But that is down to previous owners, boards, Directors etc. I just think its unfair to take out our frustrations out on the current owners when they've only been here 18 months. They had nothing to do with what went on at this club before. They didn't promise loads of cash to be spent, they didn't make any wild predictions or estimations in regards to league positions in future years. They came in and said its going to take time. As I said previously IMO, the time to judge them will be in 5 and then 10 years time. Yes, its frustrating because its even more time, and we're desperately crying out for new facilities, infrastructure and investment but its what we need to do.

I said most of the money they did spend was recouped from selling other players.

This is my last season as a season ticket holder. I reach my 50th year of supporting Rovers on January the 3rd. I have just had enough of 50 years of false promises, mediocre football and a badly run club. Of my 50 years 32 of them were travelling from London so 21 x 250 x 32 = a lot of miles. All the holidays I didn't go on because the football was starting again. All the good players we sold, all the bad ones we kept. All this for 50 years, and just when you think "at last our saviour has arrived" you discover that isn't even a prophet. Next season when you all wonder why we still cannot beat the team anchored to the bottom of the table hopefully I will be somewhere warm.
I'd like to add that I used to go and watch Burnley with my Dad, who was from there. When I told him I wanted to support Bristol Rovers he said "well that's up to you, but you know they will never win anything."

Yes does begin to get to you-In my case over 60 years. The new regime were paraded one by one e.g.'This Guy was responsible for building The new Wembley' etc but those 'Big Guns' have either disappeared or are certainly not in evidence. Up here Stoke fans are revolting over their league position but unlike us ,their Chairman communicates over their fears and moans and assures them of his ambitions to steady the ship, Jan transfer window etc.Do feel that our tented stadium really is becoming an embarrassment.Suspect our chairman hasn't made any communication as there's nothing to communicate.

In 2011/12 season Bournemouth Spent £1.6M, but they sold players totaling 2.2M, a 600k profit. In 2012/13 season they spent £1.2M, and made sold players for £750,000. So still in profit after those first 2 seasons. In 2013/14 season all their signings were free transfers if im not mistaken. In 2014/15 they spent £3.5M on Callum Wilson and Andrew Surman but they made that back by selling Lewis Grabban. The big money they've spent since is a result of being in The Premier League.

It's not just about transfer fees. Wages for top players needs to be added in. The article gives you the numbers ref the cost to get into the premier league and is substantial. £25 million - loaned by the owner.

It's hard to remain positive when there is so much negative noise on social media and phone ins etc. Rovers have been in far worse positions, most recently staring into the abyss when relegated to the conference but presumably you remained a season ticket holder. I really do think people are being run down by all the negative social media type stuff - surely the match day experience remains as it's been for the last few decades? Probably better.

My point being Bournemouth didn't just go out and spend millions upon millions on players. I've got family in the Poole area and they've told me that Demin isn't hugely wealthy in football owner terms, I think he's worth less than Wael. They honestly didn't spend that much, certainly compared to a lot of other Championship clubs in getting to The Premier League. Since they've got there is a different matter.

That's the issue I'm looking forward to the match tomorrow and apart from the Lambert era we're probably more likely to win than at any other time in the past couple of decades, however, the whole match day experience off the pitch hasn't changed for decades. Whilst Wael admitted when the ALQ's took over the club it desperately needed a new stadium, now all he can offer in his latest interview is a new club shop and toilets (which will most likely by a portacabin and some portaloos) it really is a killer but we still have posters saying Wael's not promised us anything when he took over, you do have to wonder what planet they live on. Now we supposed to pretend we're the new Bournemouth, it really is a joke.

Who's said we're the new Bournemouth?

I wonder if they ever made problems paying their contractors as we seem to have yet again, FFS is it that hard to pay for a just fence and a some drainage.

Heard about the fencing issue a while back but nothing else - has it come from a credible source?

It was another poster mentioning them, Burton and Fleetwood. I said Bournemouth hadn't achieved back to back promotions, like we have, and that their owner had been there 6 years whereas the Al-Qadis haven't It wasn't a comparison. Just some truths.

I do believe Bournemouth breached FFP the year they got promoted but because they got promoted the EPL can't touch 'em. Hence why a lot of self respectinf fans despise Bournemouth. They gambled by breaking the rules.....and won.
