It's not just about transfer fees. Wages for top players needs to be added in. The article gives you the numbers ref the cost to get into the premier league and is substantial. £25 million - loaned by the owner. I do believe Bournemouth breached FFP the year they got promoted but because they got promoted the EPL can't touch 'em. Hence why a lot of self respectinf fans despise Bournemouth. They gambled by breaking the rules.....and won. They really didn't. They've broken FFP since they've got there.

What about the hotels and the other business they have all over the world? The reporter from Jordan who was interviewed at the take over said they don't know how much money they have, but it's a lot and they have a number of different businesses all over the world. They don't talk about most of there work, so you have no idea how much money they have, so stop making out you do. Unless you are a member of the family??? The only hotel I'm aware of is the Four Seasons in Jordan? It says the company manage and develop hotels, resorts, restaurants and swimming pools. Not sure how many as you can't find much about it. Like with things going on at the club, they keep it to themselves LOL.

bournemouth bought good players and spent quite a lot, reaping the rewards now The money they've spent recently is simply as a result of being in The Premier League. The money they spent before that, the majority of it anyway was down to selling players and bringing others in. They didn't achieve 2 promotions in 3 years like we have, they haven't got a brand new shiny stadium either. Again their owner Max Demin bought the club in 2011, 5 years before the Al-Qadi's bought us. It was a steady progress. Perspective anyone? 😉 cant wait to see where we are in 5 yrs then😀why is everyone being so negative

Look, we've nearly always been a 3rd and 4th tier side. We get relegated, we get promoted. A bit like Hartlepool or Swindon. I really don't know what these new supposedly rich owners have in mind, but it makes you wonder why they bothered . But they own the club, and can do as much or as little as they like .
We used to spruce up our seasons with some good cup runs, that would bring in money for transfers, but that hasn't happened for ages now. It's all a bit flat at the moment, compounded by the success south of the river .
I'll believe the new stadium when I'm sat in it....until then it's as you were .

I can only see references to the AJIB and a 15.7% interest in METICO which is worth about £50 million and which owns the Four Seasons hotel in Amman.

Agreed, on the pitch we are where we have been for most of our history - pottering around in the middle of the third tier. The negativity being spouted about the football side of things is probably part due to frustration with lack of progress on a stadium. i think the AQ family had every intention of going ahead with the UWE when they arrived, whether it's just the general cost of running a football club or the stubbornness of UWE to make concessions I don't know but something has caused them to get cold feet. I don't think there is any chance of a substantial Mem redevelopment and they stated very early on that it wasn't a viable option - this is probably evidenced by zero activity on any sort of plans, investigations etc going ahead. My only hope is that the UWE deal is not totally dead and negotiations resumed shortly after we made the public statement to pull out. If we were as close to a deal as we were led to believe then any right minded businessmen would have been mad to walk away, regardless of how frustrating they found it to deal with UWE. Failure to go ahead with no viable alternatives leaves DS with a lame duck, loss making, third tier football club.

As did Vincent Tan at Cardiff. Just google and you will see about his write offs. But here, to some The Al-Qadi's are expected to do otherwise And as The AQs own everything and our owed all the money, if they really want out they could sell The Mem anyway. No charge needed
