Interesting post from vaughan on the other forum: "So I have had a very interesting exchange of mails with Steve Hamer in last 24 hours. I thank him for his responsiveness on matters of concern. The headlines are: There is no cap on finance from Dwayne Sports, as reported. There will be no financial Armageddon in March 2018 The training ground will be built as already indicated There is optimism about improving facilities especially as there is a recognised need Dwayne Sports are NOT looking for outside investment from supporters groups, although it has been mentioned and quickly discarded by them Dwayne Sports will invest when there is a business case presented but will continue to run a tight ship Dwayne Sports are bewildered by the amount of interest in their commercial matters - a cultural divide between Jordanian financiers and UK football supporters So there you go. This is consistent with what has been said already. Whatever you think, I suggest that you write to Steve if you feel strongly. Should be interesting to see what happens in the coming months. So far it has been evolution not revolution so they’ve been true to their word on that front. Problem is evolution takes donkeys years and supporters want more quicker its human nature.

BRFC is a local club, sponsored and supported by local businesses and people which peoples hard earned cash goes into week in week out. There are no ivory towers to hide in and no mass conglomerate to hide behind quite simply because we are a L1 local club. We are in a position where there is no communication from the board whatsoever on items that deserve answers. Especially the stadium situation. It’s obvious for all to see that things aren’t right. I’ve put over £10k into the club in the past 2 years via sponsorship on top of my season tickets and match and ball sponsorships and I feel that I deserve a little more information as to where my money has gone/will be going should I continue next year. I know a few other sponsors are thinking of pulling the plug too. I met Tom Gorringe the other week and I didn’t even get a thank you for your support from him. No doubt he will be on the phone in a few months cap in hand. If the cultural divide is what is the problem perhaps the Jordanians need to realise that this club is British and the fans are local and that it means something special to us. So it is them that needs to change not the other way around.

On top, another reason we're so twitchy as a fanbase is that we're getting left behind left right and centre by most clubs, in regards facilities. However, there is a glaring divide between us and our Bristol neighbours, which appears to be widening by the week. As much our club needs to get it's own house in order, the speed at which this happens needs to happen faster for a lot of our fans. Whether this is right or wrong, I would like Wael and Hamer to at least indicate that they understand this.

What does being a British club have to do with anything I would agree you should be thanked by the commercial director for your contributions. Not to defend him as such, but he is still pretty new and probably getting to know faces and who has done what Im just a fan on the terrace with my ST and apart from perhaps a bit better communications, I am strugvling to see what the Al-Qadis have done so wrong that has upset/angered quite a few in their pursuit of trying to make BRFC a generally more professional outfit. There have been some misteps but is there anything worse or on a par than previous regimes?

You can’t expect to employ middle eastern investment bank business tactics on an English L1 football club. That was part of the message from Vaughan. They don’t expect to be questioned basically. Well tough. It doesn’t work like that when you have 10k+ supporters that are shareholders in effect plus other local businesses that underpin the club. You are going to be scrutinised and questioned, it’s part of the gig and they had better get used to it. All football clubs are the same. There are also some astute businessman that support BRFC both in boxes and on the terraces that can see there are problems and situations that need help. Lots have offered their services already. It’s so obvious. And you may fool some but others you will never. Also, what has happened in the past with other boards is in the past. Yes there were some errors but also some positives and whatever they are they can’t be changed. We are looking forward to the future now. And the future is bleak currently. If this board can learn from the mistakes of others then we could have a bleak future, but right now they have removed the stadium plans, not replaced it with anything and more facts are coming out about mismanagement of finances or the lack of them. Combine that with a chairman that inspires zero confidence and it’s easy to see why people are being critical.

That's unfair to play the racist card Peter, it's was the report of the Hamer exchange that mentioned the cultural divide and simply to point out that they it's up to them to change is hardly racist nor should the use of the word British be equated with racism.

As for offers of help and the old board, i am sure they rebuked many an offer too, so in that shape the AQs cannot be considered any worse Just fiding this constant negativity and defeatism raining Again apologies regarding the initial comment

It made a difference to my post based on the info from Vaughn that culturally the ALQs cannot understand why us mere fans have the audacity to question them as I guess business in the Middle East is usually kept private

Meanwhile our local rivals are now looking like real promotion contenders.

I have found the executives at the Club always willing to discuss in person with good supporters like you and it sounds as though you have had plenty of chances.

We might as well just close the club down Some Buckle-esque lowering of expectations there! If the ceiling to our ambitions is league one survival for the next 20-30 years then we might as well close the club down, what is the point in shambling along being tinpot forever and a day? Under Dwane Sports we are going to slowly be pushed out by clubs who have better infrastructure until our level is league two survival....or perhaps City will finish us off first, who knows? I'll put it another way: What is there to be excited about as a Rovers fan for the forseeable future? Genuine question.

I am certainly on side of "What the f is going on at the club and where are we heading", it astounds me that people can say we are no worse off than we were and in our history we have always been no higher than we are now.
We are staring relegation in the face, unless we can sign 4 or 5 players, we need to replace players with Liam Sercombe quality of a player. Some fans seem to be far too loyal to their favourite players, they just are not very good now, certainly are not performing. We have to replace players eventually, should have done it in the summer.
Obviously the ground was the real blow, felt throughout the club it would seem, i don't anybody is any the wiser of what is going on, until we move will continue to struggle and will not attract many quality players.

I am not saying that is a ceiling on what our ambitions should be though, just we are no worse off than we have been. If you listened to some, we are selling any half decent player, getting relegated and Dwane our going to cut and run and we will lose the ground and be homeless FFS
