I can't believe what I am reading. People honestly wouldn't want us to reach the premiership, ever? In today's game you go up to the premiership and receive massive payments if you are to be relegated virtually securing your club financially. Not only do the club have a ceiling on their ambition, so it seems do the fans which will be music to the owner's ears. I get the dislike for the premiership but the thought of someone actively NOT wanting their club to get promoted beggars belief.

There is a startling lack of ambition amongst the majority of our fanbase, the current dissent coming from a vocal minority of fans is only evident because of the current situation south of the river. The reality is everyone would be very happy with 16th in league one and zero progress off the field if the teds were only slightly better than us. If anything it has been a blessing in disguise, although i fear it will take something that will be almost irreversible to make most people take their heads out of the sand. As for comparisons between other club's relative positions in other cities and surrounding areas i suggest most look at the situation in stoke because that is going to be the same here sooner than most people realise. But what sbould have happened? Should NH not have sold the club? Sold it to one of the apparent 10 or so unknown suitors? We have what we have, and I would rather a club, than no club at all Two different recipes for a **** sandwich though really.

You wouldn’t watch Rovers play Arsenal, Liverpool and Man U etc In a packed stadium full of atmosphere..??
That is a delusional comment in itself.
Of course Bury away is far more attractive than West Ham, Bournemouth or Swansea.

if our owners didn't understand english football and the reality of a two club city i think that this season may have educated them somewhat. They surely now know what is required to compete in this city, the homework they should have done before they bought us is caught up with. The question is do they really want to achieve something here, the return not being financial but leaving a legacy that means being talked about for years. Over to you wael.

You would hope that they have come to terms with what is required to achieve anything in football and especially in this city. If they don't want Bristol Rovers to compete in this great city of ours then I do not know what they are doing buying the club. Equally, until Rovers have a stadium and a better playing side they will not see any financial return. We are struggling in the league and get knocked out of cups early more often than not. Rovers must get out this league. But you are right they could have a legacy here if they wanted to.

True, imagine both Bristol clubs gunning for promotion to the Premiership, if Hani can't buy into that he may as well put the club up for sell.

With the UWE/Mem built that could have been a closer reality than any of us could dream of. Above all of this, I really want to know the exact reasons why it collapsed. None of us really know, and neither side has pointed the finger.
