6 - 0 will be a decent result for them. I don’t watch sh** games but I’m gona watch this as they will get ripped apart! They will make more money over the two legs than we made all season and that includes the money for the Billy Big Bollocks transfer Evolution ? yeah ....... And they'll still make a bigger loss than we've ever made.

I hope they get past Man City, their league form has been crap since they beat UTD. I hope they get to the final and lose there. The longer they’re in the league Cup the more their league form will suffer probably. Can you really see the sh** beating Man City over 2 legs Socrates? I think we have more chance of finding Lord Lucan personally, Man City are miles in front of anyone else this year. So a tall order to say the least!

When you get to 1/4 finals of any cup competition you deserve a big draw. And fair play to them, that is really a cherry on the top of a season. If you look at the ethos, style of play and the players Johnson has bought in (he hasn’t spent a fortune compared to other championship clubs like Villa and Leeds) as well as the academy grads you have to say they deserve their success this year, whatever mantras are stapled to the wall. But if you get everyone to buy into the philosophy from the top down it does work. It’s what made Alex Ferguson so successful. Combine that with a larger stadium with better facilities to take advantage of their position and that will draw more revenue. The cup games may even draw a good few more fans to go the following Saturday to fill up the empty seats. If we went up to the championship now we wouldn’t and couldn’t compete. That is why the ALQs need to crack on a bit quicker than they have. They happily rode the tide of our promotion which was nothing to do with them and now it is time for them to step up. We had 10k against Pompey and if we played Man C we would only get 12.5k. That is the point. Would we capitalise? Of course not. The problem for them is they might have the cherry but if they don't go up then they'll be missing the cake.

Exactly what I have been saying for the past 2 months. In the time of the 24 pages of this thread, if the owners were Uber serious about developing the Mem in any capacity (aside from a new set of bogs and another portakabin for the club shop) then they could have drafted plans of some nature and released them by now. Rome was not built in a day - not even in 2 months, and you might be surprised what is being considered

Or did you not mean it to come across like that?

I think we know how much time has passed since the ALQ's have taken over, how much time we have owned the land at the colony and how much time has passed since the UWE collapse for them to have gotten their arses into gear and sorted at least one of the projects out.

Seriously though, it would be nice to hear some positive news even if it is just high level otherwise some of the negative rumours start to become accepted wider. It can be like Chinese water torture where it eventually wears you out.

No they wouldn't. Runners up of the FA Cup get the ticket to Europe from the competition if winners have qualified for Europe through another means. If winners of League Cup qualify for Champions League or Europa League via league (or FA Cup), European place goes to the 6th/7th place Premier League team.

Is this still part of their original 5 year plan to get into Europe?
Lets be honest, that really would be the filthy icing on a very sh1tty cake wouldn't it.

Any connection to the rumoured cancellation of the current Arena project and it moving to Filton? Nope So it's a 27,001 seater just off the RingRoad (maybe near Lyde Green) with retractable roof and associated hotel, etc. Well, I can dream can't I?

I can't really see them troubling the best team (currently) in the premierSh*t over two legs, they would really have to pull it out of the bag My prediction is Man City to win at a canter and the local press beatifying John Snout and his merry men - you heard it here first, second, third

Rather jealous of all the reds leaving work to go to tonight’s game all happy and positive rubbing in our issues. None expect anything and are just having a good night out! Please at our end can we just sign someone or have some form of f”cking good news! I’m so tired of hoping and waiting for our club to do anything!!! We are so f”cking tinpot! I know it’s always been this way but Christ this is the hardest I’ve found it!
