A good battling performance, Oldham lost at home today to off form Fleetwood so nothing to fear there on Saturday.

Wow we drew! Didn’t listen as busy but glad for once we didn’t go gung ho and end up losing. We did go gung-ho but we didnt lose, we missed 2 pens and 2 wrongly disallowed goals + 7 cleared off the line! Still mustn’t grumble, as we could have easily lost 😜

Watched the game on ifollow
First half was rubbish from both teams
Broadbent was solid, tom Loc was lumping balls to nobody
Lines his normal power puff self
2nd half got better when they took Billy big bollocks off and moved Sercs to the middle
Bola was impressive
Tom Nichols had no service at all until they decided to play the ball ON THE GROUND to him and nearly got in a couple of times
Brown was utter dross The whole game and cant pass, mark or TACKLE to save his life
Oliie Clarke lucky to stay on the pitch after 2 crunching tackles on their No 7 (playmaker)
Ellis in and out of the game
Apart from that it was a entertaining game which Rovers should have won

Considering our away form I'm pleased with a point. Didn't sound like a great game, but it's good to grind out the result. Onwards and upwards.

We don't have anything to fear at Oldham, but I'd take a point.

And this is exactly why a good Ollie Clark performance is a necessity. I don't think any Rovers player tackles as hard as Ollie and a few levellers need to be dished out early on in the game to set the scene. Sinclair will get in your face, Lines will chicken out, Sercombe will try and play, but only Ollie dishes out the crunching tackle. It's what we badly miss from our midfield. When Ollie is off form, we have nobody to dish it out. Graeme Souness and Roy Keane didn't play every game due to their disciplinary records but they made a bloody big difference to their midfields when they were on the pitch.
