That felt rather good today. Inability to break down very tight Pompey defence was troubling at half time but it all came good in the end. Proper backs to the wall stuff, ugly but spirited and tough. DC comments encouraging too, genuinely felt he is trying to keep group together and move on which let’s hope is the case after all the whinging on here. Happy new year all!

Three bids turned down for different players of ours according to DC on Radio Bristol. Ellis, Bodin and Lockyer? Nichols, Moore and the old bing bong man. |

Unbelievable that Lockyer played on after being knocked out when the ball was struck against his head. He was all over the place for a few minutes and could barely stand up. Shocked the ref and lino missed it. The linesman couldn't have missed it. He just didn't have the guts to stop the game. |

Shocked the ref and lino missed it. The linesman couldn't have missed it. He just didn't have the guts to stop the game. Hope Locks is well looked after - got a good break now to get him right. It's probably just as well it wasn't stopped as he would have had to go off I imagine |

Im surprised some on here genuinely think we didn't play well today. We've played one of the form sides in the division & limited them to very little even a draw would have been harsh on us.
Yes we've been poor in a few games lately but not today, credit where it's due the players have shown a lot of guts to come back from one down especially as the goal we gave away was so poor.
Hopefully we can get a couple of players in before the Blackpool game to give us some more options but for now I'm just happy with a much needed 3 points

Shocked the ref and lino missed it. I was surprised that DC carried on making the two subs and didn't give Lockyer 5 minutes or so to see how he was. We could have easily been down to 10 men, Tom took a right whack, he was like Bambi on ice for a few minutes after. |

Just back from the game and that by far was the best performance this season
The beard today was class. Broadbent was the player we have been looking for.
But all played well today and 100% for the crowd getting behind the team

Nichols had another nothing game today. No shots, didn’t win anything and every pass was misplaced. Only decent thing that happened was him getting fouled for the free kick that led to our winner.
It’s likw watching under 12s football when he has the ball.
Overall a good result tho. Thought Broadbent was class today before he went off injured. His passing and forward play was superb.

Great 3 points against team in form,no need for analysis, no need to dissect the performance ,just enjoy!last 3 games have put the building blocks in place for a more consistent second half of season, come on Rovers , get something at Blackpool and we can really believe!not only that its 2-0 Villa!happy new year to ALL at Rovers and our fans!
