By and large I've remained fairly positive and supportive of our owners.
However, with so many negative rumours, the collapse of the UWE deal and the Colony stalling I have started to become a little worried.
I'm pinning a lot on this transfer window.
A good show of support for DC will be massive.
Anything less and I think the owners will really be in danger of losing the fans.
What do others feel?

Bodin replacement that works with the current squad is enough for me.

I think that if Yeovil Effing Town can manage to get 4 players between Thursday and Saturday, with their perilous league position, pathetic level of support and therefore little or no money, and with a totally incomprehensible cretin for a manager, then yes, I do expect us to be able to get some decent players through the door.
It's not asking too much, surely.

I would have to agree with that, January will be massive and will show us if the owners are willing or not to commit the resources to DC to improve the team. There is many areas needed to strengthen and quality in January will not come cheap.
It sounds from DC's recent interviews that he has been pushing for a bigger budget for quite a while. If he doesn't get that, especially now we have money from Bodin's departure, I fear it could be the last straw for him.
Hopefully it won't get to that and on February 1st we will all be speaking of a successful transfer window.

Players of Sercombes quality or at the least, very exciting non league/L2 up and comers.

It's not about dropping anyone, it's about giving us options. 2 wingers as we don't have any at the club and a defensive midfielder are must for me. If anyone were to be dropped it would probably be Ollie Clarke who has really struggled this season more than any other player.

I feel like DC was backed quite strongly in the summer. I think we're effectively blaming the board for DC's mistake in buying Nichols.

One thing I will say, I'm sick and tired of hearing what a hard window, January is. Yeh it's hard if yer only Willing to swap a set of track suits for a player.

I got the impression that he had his budget cut half way through the window. Maybe I'm wrong and DC just seriously f**ked up in the summer and failed to sign a balanced squad.

The thing is if we bring in free transfers, I am sure people will be moaning about why we aren't spending any cash.
When we do spend cash, sometimes it doesn't instantly work out, i.e Tom Nichols.
DC's free transfers have worked out pretty well, Taylor and Bodin were both outstanding, The Beard for his endeavour is a crowd favourite and cult hero, not to mention Broadbent who looks to be a fantastic find.
Sometimes spending money isn't always the answer.

Yeah, recruitment seemed to be going great, and we just needed that left winger and the defensive midfielder. And, yeah, we still need the left winger and defensive midfielder. No idea why, though.

It's just that I suspect that 3 quality signings would not want to come if they are brought in as just "options". Do You?

Hugo, I find myself in the exact same frame of mind. Since I started supporting the gas nearly 50 years ago, I like many others have seen the ups and downs of being a Gashead. This time it seems different, I have thought a lot as to why its different and I have concluded that the way Wael has ingrataited himself with the Gasheads, things like standing in the crowd instead of sitting in the directors box, catchy slogans like "evolution not revolution" has made the dissapointments more personal. I feel that he has personally let me down, thats why its different, thats why it feels worse than all the previous let downs. Its one thing to have no money, its another thing if you have the money and wont spend it. At the foot of this page I have had a saying for a couple of weeks now. An unreliable friend, is the worse type of enemy
I sincerely hope Wael doesnt fit that bill.

Not blaming him for spending it, blaming him for spending it on Nichols. im just stating that the 300k we got for Taylor, should have gone straight on a striker. So we only paid a fee for LSercombe, rest were loans. That's not really being backed. Although I'll admit it's not looking well spent on Nicholls.
