We've stopped shipping goals left, right and centre which is great. We've started to pick up points away from home, which again is a positive. Keep winning at home which more often than not we do, and we'll be moving up the league inno time. I really hope so - but think we need to add quality to make sure of that - Bradford, Blackburn, Charlton, Shrews, Wigan and Scunnie all to come at home yet !

Positives we didn't really look like conceeding at any point, their only real moments of danger came from a couple of sloppy passes from Sweeney & Bola. We struggled going forward although in truth we looked more threatening than they ever did. Another away point but can't help feeling it ought to have been better

Watched on ifollow
Tom Loc's back to his imperial best
Bola looked solid at the back but poor going forward
Parts is not a full back, to slow
Oli & The beard controlled the middle
Lines to busy doing his makeup to bother playing
Serc's ok first half, went missing in the 2nd
Gaffs & Ellis did not work well but gaffs worked better with Nichols who had a good game when he came on
Ellis got kicked a lot, had a word with DC and came off soon after
Overall, Solid but poor going forward
Onward and upwards

Looks like we didn't play with much width today, if one of DC targets is a commanding CDM then think the above could work. Will assume we are looking for wide players also.

Might well be worth a try, we definitely lack width so hopefully a wide player or 2 comes in before the end of the month.

Thought we looked a different team, attacking wise, after Nichols replaced Harrison, making it look like 2 pts lost rather than 1 pt gained in the end. Not sure if we changed tactics or Harrison's mind was elsewhere. Harrison seemed to have a very good game judging from what I heard on the radio. No need to stir things!! He was probably just knackered, given the amount of running he gets through. So I can judge with what I see with my own eyes, before Harrison went off we didn't have a single shot on target after he went off we had 3 or 4, if not more, decent chances.

He's obviously off first thing on Monday

Just paid £'s for Mensah, give him 20 mins at least. After all we already know what Nicholls can do. A good point today, but an opportunity lost. How many times do we give the ball away each and every game? Geoff twentyman made a good point on the radio. Players often get their debut at a home match, in a safer environment.

Didn’t see the game but happy with what sounds like another well-earned point on the road, backed by over 1,000 noisy Gasheads.
Onto Bradford - reckon it’ll be a cracker.

4,100 for a team in the Premier League a few years ago. Shocking.
And the knobs on OTIB analysing every post ever made on here can try their best, but 1,100 going to Blackpool is very impressive indeed.

Joe Lumley prevented rovers from winning a scrappy match. DC sticking a diamond in front of the back four certainly stifles the opposition. But also prevents any creative attacking play, nothing is created on either wing, which sees Ellis and Gaffers feeding off scraps and being unable to join up and bring the midfield into play. Hopefully the new recruits will offer some alternative options. Got to also say, l would have given Bernie at least 20 minutes, in fact l would have started him, hope he gets a debut at home next week, surely if he is the best player in the conference, he is worth game time.

Not sure about whether he was the best player in the conference. Do Shots fans think he was their best player? If so, that's not bad as they are flying high at the moment.

Quote from Blackpool Ouch
Ownership crisis, Chief Executive leaving crisis, injury crisis - some words are over-used but at the start of 2018 not to describe Blackpool as a crisis club would be a mistake. Every area of the club is in crisis - not least a crisis of confidence in front of goal. Just one shot on goal the whole game (and that was so instantly forgettable that it might have been an over generous analyst who considered it a shot on goal) and if it hadn't been for the excellent Joe Lumley, this would have been another home defeat. Make no mistake, Bristol Rovers are one of those awful League One sides who will probably survive with little talent but whilst today's Blackpool side hardly oozed class, unless they get some of their better players back soon they may not be so lucky. One win in eleven league games tells it's own story.

In fairness they were missing the likes of Kyle Vassell, Viv Solomon-Otabor and Mark Cullen and we only managed our first shot on target in about the 80th minute. We have been garbage this season, bar the odd result, and need a massive injection of quality this month and next summer.
