I question DC on Saturday which I don't usually do. Playing 2 slight CB's together was always going to be risky. Especially as they (Wimbledon) seemed to go route one quite often, they just weren't very good at it most of the match.
Also the subs (which I didn"t like at the time). Any momentum we had seemed lost when we brought Nichols and Gaffney on for Sercombe and Ellis. There only looked one winner then.

I think we could have survived with a point if just Ellis had been changed. This is nothing against Nichols I just don't think we could afford to have taken Sercombe out of our midfield. Ellis was struggling and we can't afford for him to be out long term so it made sense bringing Gaffney on. We know DC always looks to win games so takes a risk but I feel this was a risk too far.

I can't believe a team as poor as Wimbledon have managed to beat us home and away this season. Significant strengthening in the summer is needed. I can't believe we put 6 past Northampton we are such a bad team........ Nothing major needs doing to our team, maybe replace some of the longer serving players

I think we could do better than Gaffers, Brown & Lines and maybe James Clarke As regards with who, i will leave that to Pirate & DC to decide

One of DC'S contentious decisions was to release Monty. He featured on Radio Stoke this morning. Was recalled to the side Sat and now plays at left back.He scored but they still lost and the Vale manager Neil Aspin said of him,' I'd appeal to the fans to support him as there's a good player in there somewhere'.Make of that what you will.

Sercombe off was a big shock to me. Our best attacking player subbed for arguably our worst is an odd choice in my opinion.

Craig played 57 times for millwall last season, amazing achievement. In an interview with the "mail online" he said he was a left-back who sometimes helps neil harris out by playing centre-half. He played left-back in the play-off final last season. Presume you must know how many of his 57 games were left-back compared to centre-back? There is one game missing, but according to transfermarkt he played 31 times at left back and 25 times at centre back. In fairness that is the most games he has played at LB in one season in his whole career. The majority of his games since the early 2000's have been as a CB. So he is a player who can comfortably play in either position and judging by his appearances last season is a pretty fit lad.

What about ellis harrison? hes out of contract at the end of the season, one of the best ive seen in that role this season.

I would like a big beast of a striker up along side ellis who can win headers in the opposing penalty area. For all the corners and crosses we deliver we lack somebody with that kind of ability.

It was an undisclosed contract signed last summer. I was basing my presumption on a hot and cold form last season and thinking logically he would have been offered a 1 year deal.

We have the makings of a good side, but just lack that extra touch of class.

We've got a fair number of full-backs but being ruthless a couple a quality full-backs/ wing-backs would be a priority for me along with strengthening midfield..as you say 3 or 4 quality additions would give us top 6 potential. One unknown is whether the window signings have solved our need for a wide playing midfielder/ winger.
