You think he will establish himself as a premier league or championship footballer? No im just saying he shouldn't worry about not breaking into our first team when others have been through the same and gone on to better things. imo he is better off in Stokes development squad with better players rather than ours. Waste of a year for the lad I dont agree, hes gained valuable experience this season and has some real league games under his belt. Bit like when mcburney was here, with him obviously all rovers fans would know we were winning games for fun when we loaned the young kid from swansea and taylor and gaffney were going great guns. But he still gained that experience and played his part in our promotion.

Rather than thinking about what we can offer loan players id rather concentrate on what they offer us. If he isnt going to play we should be giving our own players like Broom this valuable experience you mention. DC should only bring in loan players who are good enough for the first team and is willing to play them imo

Its a great and cheap way to top up the squad imo.

I agree, just like mc burnie has gone on to the championship now Telford over gaffney any day of the week, gaffney is our poorest striker imo Totally unfair parallel with McBurnie. He didn't play purely because our strikers were doing the job well enough at the time to get us promoted. Telford may well get his chance now because we are a bit short up front. Hopefully he'll take his chance and win a contract with us.

We now have 22 senior pro players at the club and 3 more out on loan. Only 11 can start and another 7 are on the bench. They cant all play can they? Dc has hinted in interviews about his true feelings on loans this season.

Nichols who according to you was going to get 10 plus goals in the second half of the season. DC's view on loans does seem to have changed and seems to have forgotten the contribution of two loan signings in the second half of last season. Like you DC is consistent in his inconsistency on this topic.

... I added something in a similar vein on the TN meltdown thread. Managers shouldn't keep faith in players out of form.TN has never been in form in the first place from what I have seen ! BRFC is not a rehabilitation clinic to kick start a players career. He has scored twice this season...MK Dons and West Ham cup game. Dom Telford and or Ryan Broom over him all day long.... Funny you mention the west ham game as i believe the very poor performance of telford and broom has cost both players badly from there on. Yet Nichols with his multiple bad performances will get 10 goals this season? You are the laughable one

I'd pick him over Nichols. If he doesn’t get a chance with us he’ll be off at the end of his loan period and someone else will reap the benefits typical Gas!! Totally agree. I really like Dom Telford. DC has given Nichols enough money chances, time to give Dom a run in the side.

Didn't DC say that Telford is out of contract in the summer?
There is part of me that thinks he is playing the long game here. Maybe he sees day to day what a good player he is. If that is showed on a weekly basis on the pitch then wont Stoke offer him a new contract?
I think Telford will have his chance. He was a spit second away from a goal yesterday as he was the only one following up in the box.
Would like to see him stay.

You might be right but it would hard on the lad not to give time game time in the hope that Stoke release him due to lack of progress.

Who knows maybe telford will get a start on tuesday?
