We are proper boring to watch. I always feel like leaving it's so appaling. Mind you we seem to grind results out I'm just not sure if it's worth my money though!

Well done, Ellis. a half-decent result, no more, no less. We're looking a pretty fair bet to finish mid-table and that's no bad outcome, all things considered. Top 6 attendances, wealthy middle eastern owners, decent manager, so what makes mid table no bad outcome? Perhaps if DC set us up to attack from the start instead of the last 30 minutes we might have won today against v. poor opposition for the second match running.

Rochdale was one hell of a game though. It often comes down to the away teams approach to the game. Shrewsbury and Scunthorpe like to grind out results whereas Rochdale really tried to get at us. I think it will be better on Tuesday against Wigan.

That was the least I've enjoyed a game all year.
Still don't understand the decision not to send of Gilks either.

Hmm. heard DC blaming the pitch, which is a very poor surface, will be interesting to see how Wgan get on against us on Tuesday, lets hope Will Griggs not on on fire. IMO Wigan are the best team we have played this season, gave us the run round at their place, so Tuesday under the lights should be a very good bench-mark. Utg

Why do you always talk us up when it suits your negative agenda and then spend most of the time denouncing us? The Owners are wealthy when it suits you and don't have a pot to water in when it doesn't. Surely you realise that a mid table finish would be no bad outcome for this football all things considered?

Thimk their goalkeeper should have been sent off, here is the official rule:
Sending Off Offense
A handball becomes a sending off offense when a player is judged to have handled the ball to prevent a direct scoring opportunity such as a shot on an empty goal, or to have prevented a move that might have resulted in a direct scoring opportunity such as a breakaway. The infringing player should be given a straight red card and a direct free kick taken from the spot of the infringement. If this occurs inside the penalty area, a penalty should be awarded.

I'll raise your decent and say DC is a very good manager. Double promotion followed by two years consolidation in league above is clearly a fantastic achievement. Wealthy middle eastern owners is clearly a red herring as you very well know. Scunthorpe set up to make the game as it was today. They are a bloody difficult team to beat, as their league form over the last two seasons suggests.

DC asked for improvements to the pitch drainage last Summer and when it was relayed it was carried out to a very poor standard. In his interview after todays match he said he had a 70% win ratio on the old pitch. Was there really a need to renew the pitch which DC described as being a good one? It seems that the old pitch was not broke so why have it fixed when the money spent could have been diverted to better use?

Hard to argue why that wasn’t a red then as def prevented a move that might have resulted in a goal scoring opportunity although plenty of defenders would have been in box had Ellis won the ball so probably marginal if he had managed to cut ball back

I don’t understand all the pitch blaming. Sure it’s not the best but does that stop players from running and closing people down? Why does the opposition handle it so well? They don’t play on it every 2 weeks so surely we should know how to play on it by now?
It’s also not like we’ve won all of our away games this season either....

Personally I'll never complain at a keeper only being booked for handling outside the box

Why's it a ### herring they are clearly wealthy than any other previous Rovers owners, but for some reason having bought the club they no longer seem interested in investing the money required to take us to the next level, or at least not anytime soon. As far as today Scunthorpe were still as difficult to beat after they scored but they struggled at the back once we took the game to them once the 3 subs came. As regards posters saying about why relay the pitch it's clear the person in charge of the project is no longer around, I wonder why??

Harrison was by the touchline on the edge of the area with a defender close by, it would have taken an hell of a shot to score from that position, I assume the goalie would also argue it was "accidental" handball rather than a deliberate attempt like stopping a goal bound shot. Although when do we ever play well against 10 men anyway. Scunny would have just subbed an outfield player and played one up front and completely killed the game.
