That was the least I've enjoyed a game all year. Still don't understand the decision not to send of Gilks either. Well if Puddy had gone at Wembley I think we might still be in the conference small dividing lines. Funny how the Lino missed it twenty feet in front of him! Puddy should have gone, that decision was wrong we got lucky.

One of the worst games I've seen in a long time. It looked like two poor teams today and Scunthorpe didn't look like a playoff side to me, but the pitch didn't help either side. The amount of times we kicked it out of play, misplaced a pass or aimlessly kicked it long was ridiculous.
I do mostly put today's display down to the pitch, but there were some simple passes that went astray that you can't even use the pitch as an excuse. Lockyer and Partington were particularly guilty IMHO, but Craig and Brown weren't much better.
The best player on the pitch today for me was the no. 6 midfielder for them, Funso Ojo. His positional sense was excellent, made numerous interceptions, kept it simple and managed to find a teammate with most of his passes. I'd have him in our side without a doubt on the evidence of that.

I liked their 19 who was smaller than Bennett he looked like Lionel Messi when he ran at us, looked like two poor teams out there today, hope for better Tuesday. The three additions looked sharp and maybe would start all three Tuesday.

Wigan are by far the best team in the league for me, it will be interesting to see how they cope with our pitch. I'd give Telford a chance upfront on tuesday and move Sercs back in the middle where he is at his best.

Almost like our comupence for Wembley but I’d take promotion over a league match in mid table any day.

A lovely move for our goal glosses over a very average game.

Thimk their goalkeeper should have been sent off, here is the official rule: Sending Off Offense A handball becomes a sending off offense when a player is judged to have handled the ball to prevent a direct scoring opportunity such as a shot on an empty goal, or to have prevented a move that might have resulted in a direct scoring opportunity such as a breakaway. The infringing player should be given a straight red card and a direct free kick taken from the spot of the infringement. If this occurs inside the penalty area, a penalty should be awarded. Then by that explanation the ref got it spot on. Not only the ref Russ, I called a yellow straight away. Definately not a sending off.

I think we have a stevie G and Frank Lampard issue, we can’t have both Linesy and Sercs in the same team, having Sercs on the wing is madness he is better in an advanced midfield role, but we need a defensive midfielder a cheap Michael carrick so to speak, think that needs to be a priority in the summer. Also agree with others that Gaffers and Super Ellis don’t compliment each other, rather have Dom alongside Super Ellis on Tuesday.

McGheehan is another good footballer, but he didn't shine today. Usually has a good game against us.

Am I missing something here. If it had occured inside the penalty area, surely it wouldn't have been an illegal hand ball?

So any hand ball in and around the box is subject to that rule.

Its a good league one crowd but as its lower than the seasons average has to be seen as a poor Rovers crowd. It does seem low, but it's not that low. It works out at 220 less Gasheads than normal and 270 less away fans than normal.

this is the GAS not Sh1!heads, we need to worry about our team and getting a ball playing midfielder for next year. Leave the other lot to their own devices as they are doing it well again. U T G.
