More Choo-Choo-Choo than 4-4-2 ! Henburys new bessy mate is Roy Cropper. Did you know that David Neilson (Roy Cropper) used to regularly watch the Rovers at Twerton Park back in the 90's?

"or so" could be any time frame? Wasps did something similar when moving to the Ricoh. What about you Topper ? Seriously ? You can put in your own time frame. If the ALQ's did something similar to Wasp's with 5% p.a. with a guaranteed returned of money after 5 years then I'd be interested. www.wasps.co.uk/docs/default-source/Bonds/wasps---information-booklet-final.pdf?sfvrsn=2 Imagine that when somebody says what have you ever done to support Rovers, you can then respond with "I helped to fund their training facilities".

Since you mentioned Wasps, I've always wondered where they got the money to buy the Ricoh Stadium. They might be wealthy for a rugby club, but wealthy for a rugby club and wealthy for a football club is like chalk and cheese. Do they have a rosy-cheeked billionaire behind them?

Shall we help our poor club out ? www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/43555702If not stadium then the training ground !? I'd put in 500 quid if they (the club) guaranteed the facilities for the 1st team, youth and Academy within a year or so ! I’d do it. £500 for a training ground, £1000 for a stadium.

They've got a wealthy benefactor but that's no different than us and most other football and rugby clubs, plus £35m was raised from the bond.

Derek Richardson an Irish billionaire who made his fortune in Internet insurance. Worth £44million in 2013, more recently made £55 million by selling his shares to RSA. Resides in Monaco. The wonder of the Internet!

Will tomorrow be the day the we hear some positive news from the club?
I would like to the club to come out and say...things are going well blah blah blah, working hard behind the scenes, expect to hear something by this date... At least that manages expectations by putting a time on it.

At least that manages expectations by putting a time on it. They've appointed some company from Cheltenham to manage the Colony Development (or something like that) so I assume that this company have been given targets that have to be met? Isn't this the way things work? I'm pretty sure that DS didn't just say, "take your time. No rush Lads. Do the work when you can and let us know when you're ready to do something!". The development company must have timescales allocated, so why wouldn't DS inform the fans that say, a Planning Application will be submitted before the end of *April/May/June/July (*delete where appropriate)? Something, anything ! The silence surrounding events at DS are troublesome. As was mentioned in a post yesterday, "when someone has some good news they let everyone know. When they only have bad news they keep quiet".....All we get from DS is silence.

The feedback on the AGM thread was a formal application will be submitted in 8-9 weeks and no details will be announced until then. So around mid May. Disappointing but at least it is a firm date to hold them to.

Whilst it would be nice and many would appreciate such a comment, I fear there are those for whom whatever date is given would be either too far off or use it against them if and, inevitably, when it slips.

It should not slip and if it does there should be a reason. It's madness that on the surface, at least, we don't seem to be doing anything to a time scale. Make a bloody Ghant chart and work towards it ffs!!

The club if they are making stride with stadium plans, then why not give the fans something.. nobody knows what is going on and just hoping. At least a date could give them something to stand by.
