The feedback on the AGM thread was a formal application will be submitted in 8-9 weeks and no details will be announced until then. So around mid May. Disappointing but at least it is a firm date to hold them to. That was regarding the colony yes. But what news of the stadium? Nobby was referring to the Colony, as for the stadium then I agree nothing has been said aside from the standard 'we are looking at the options'.

It should not slip and if it does their should be a reason. It's madness that on the surface, at least, we don't seem to be doing anything to a time scale. Make a bloody Ghant chart and work towards it ffs!! This is the most frustrating thing for me. The club if they are making stride with stadium plans, then why not give the fans something.. nobody knows what is going on and just hoping. At least a date could give them something to stand by. And something to be accountable for too. That's my one and only worry about our owners. I'm not worried about the money and I'm not worried about their intentions for the club but they do appear to be completely unaccountable to the fans.

Haven't consultations with residents happened with Hamer saying he would like a stand by stand rebuild of the mem? To me, that's a little more than simply looking at options.

Walking away from the biggest opportunity of having a respectable stadium, what they are going to do, what they are doing? where, who and when? From memory, over past 2 years, we've been told: the club need a new stadium uwe is the only option, rebuilding the mem is not viable option the uwe deal wasn't right? (why?) we are looking at other sites we will redevelop the mem.... Try make sense of it all, screams lack of direction to me. Just communicate what is happening. its getting embarrassing. The colony may well be needed, but is a distraction. The training facilities cant be that bad, otherwise we wouldn't keep on overachieving. Our ground is shocking and no doubt puts players off and we will continue to miss out on generation of fans whist in it.

They walked away from the UWE deal for the good of the club. Only the owners know what direction they want to take us, and that's their business. I would guess a stack of confidentiality agreements, and keeping their cards close to their chests means they would be stupid to go releasing information.

I believe they walked away from the UWE deal because they were short of cash to push forward. Pulling out "for the good of the club", without giving specifics, is just a wishy washy excuse in my book - and the only thing they could come up with really.
In my view, we've received no update on future stadium plans because there aren't any.
Having no expectations does make it a lot easier to focus on the "now" and to just enjoy the football - that's the positive I'm taking from all this!

They are custodians of OUR club. Should Tann have been allowed to do what he wanted without being accountable? Or the Venkeys?

I think accountable is a little strong. Afterall, it is their money. I think the owners should keep us updated if only to stop the pages and pages of speculation, hearsay, panic and bullshit that clog this forum

Short of cash? I don't think so. Try UWE wanting amemdment after amendment until WAQ just got fed up with them. Wishy washy excuse? Regarding new plans? Pfft.

That argument doesn't hold water though Bags. The UWE wanted the stadium built as well. In fact, they were the ones who originally approached NH about building one. There is no logical reason why they would continue to delay it after so many years !

I recon they walked away from UWE as they couldn't get a return for the investors which in turn would be no good for the club in the long term - I can't see why tho as apparently their feasibility study was positive. I have also felt that Brexit changed some thinking for our owners, there was some comment from SH about Brexit quite a while ago. I agree it's all wishy washy. I also don't believe there are any real plans going forward either, all we have heard is from SH saying he recommends to the owner rebuilding stand by stand - what experience is he forming his recommendation on? I thought Hani was the civil engineer in the family? Totally with you on the last bit, it seems forever that football has taken a back seat, I'm just going to enjoy the football, good bad or indifferent.

When the family took over the club it was like a breath of fresh air, at last seriously rich owners seemingly taking the club to the promised land, developing the mem not an option, we don't need to sell the mem to build the UWE, the monies in place, landing lights etc etc Then pulling out of a stadium because it didn't suit the club leaving all of us to speculate, and we have page after page as to why it's not in the clubs interest, nothing from the owners. There are no plans to develop the mem until there are some published, that's how I look upon it. We continue to have disappointment after disappointment and Donald trump esque excuses or non facts from hamer about it all. Let's just accept we're going to continue this until we see it in black and white, and still not get excited until we buy our tickets for the first match at our new stadium, it's easier this way I believe. In Wael I need to be convinced.... Utg

Although I was and still am one of the more cautious supporters in regards to Wael and family, I did expect more even in these first 2 years, if not in concrete at least in planning. Some are buying 'evolution' as a buzz word for general upkeep as far as the stadium is concerned imo
