They did take a big loss on Luke James and Tom Nichols though. Not really looking good for the guy they got from Dover either - the one a lot thought we should sign. Ricky Miller was it? He was on a free. When you've made over £20million profit on players in recentish seasons, you can afford to make mistakes in the market and take the odd punt. |

When you've made over £20million profit on players in recentish seasons, you can afford to make mistakes in the market and take the odd punt. I'm sure they paid him a decent signing on fee and wages. Old Darragh was getting rather peed off with him recently because he wasn't agreeing to go out on loan. |

Seems as though the main difference is that we sign players for nothing, then sell them for 300 or 400k. They sign players for 300 or 400k and sell them for 3 or 4 million. They did take a big loss on Luke James and Tom Nichols though. Are they coping OK without those two? |

Millwall now above 1982 in the league table! Millwall have only spent £500k on transfers this season, while City have spent £15M!!!!! Yet another example that you don't just have to throw money around. It also makes a mockery of the Sh*theads delusions that The Championship is "Light Years" above League One. |

I find it weird the amount of criticism our recruitment gets.
This is an area that we’ve largely been successful in recent years. How good is Marriott gonna be for them next year?
Also, DC and Wael have both conceded that this is an area that requires better infrastructure and that process is on going. Well done Peterborough. But last I checked this was about Gas Vs Fleetwood in an incredibly important game.

I'd imagine quite a lot of that 20m has been used considering MacAnthony has had to put in a fair bit of his own money and had to sell half his shares to Canadians. At the end of the day all it has got them is a couple of points more than us in League 1. |

Surely most of their signings have been punts. A player from the lower leagues which they sign a lot of, for a lot of money, isn't guaranteed to be a success. |

Wasnt that quickly shot down and ridiculed by someone at our club. I do think he talks out his arse sometimes. Warnock made a twat of him recently in an interview. He just tells people what they need to hear to make him sound like a great negotiator. |
