The other forum is overwhelming with positivity from this run of form. I wish I had it in my favourites

Made up with the win, Southport are not that good a team, but they kept going for 94 minutes, credit to them for that. Gas support was great, enjoyed the scousers in red who had taken drink watching the derby match earlier, they led the loudest chanting in the second h alf!

5 wins on the trot and still only 4th after so few games. Shows what a tough division this is to get out of. For some teams it certainly will be. For us, the new invigorated bristol rovers, we might well do much for than get out. We are close enough now to actually win it. Exciting times!

Just reminiscing how the Twerton spirit seems to be kicking in. All we need now are songs like Yellow ribbon for the 7th cavalry to start up again. I never forget the away fans faces when we sang that.

Easy to cherry pick too It bothers me because I find it pathetic. Yes we're in a shìt situation but I'm enjoying winning games, though I think we have far from turned a corner, however if our form keeps us in the play offs I'm genuinely interested to see how long it is before fans more interested in club politics think to themselves 'we've won a few too many for me to want us to keep losing, we're pushing to get back in the league, I guess i'll have to join in'..

Great stuff Rovers ! And a clean sheet away from home. Let's do Eastleigh Tuesday by getting at them from the start (they lost 3 nil today so won't be full of confidence).

Eastleigh won't know what's hit 'em. Maybe their owner will see what a real football club is and chuck his millions at us instead. They can keep Constable though.

Our result at Altrincham looks worse and worse as each weekend passes!

Our result at Altrincham looks worse and worse as each weekend passes! The only blip of our season. Braintree are a good side, so whilst it was disappointing, I wouldn't say that was a huge problem. We were unlucky with decisions that day too. Sounds weird, but I think we maybe needed that shock against Altrincham to allow us to sort out our mindset. Comments from Mansell post-Altrincham were worrying, but were also shared by a fair percentage of the fan base in pre-season. The players dug in today and ground out a result, something which we didn't see at Alty. Sets a precedent for similar games in the future mind

Our result at Altrincham looks worse and worse as each weekend passes! It does but that was only the third game with a new team. It was always crazy for people to be so angry about that result. I'm surprised how soon the team did start to gel.

Today was massive psychologically for our players. They now know they can win away at places like Southport, and put defeats at Braintree and Alty behind them.

You see what you want to see ~ most people are very pleased with the win. Pleased don't try to stir things up between the forums. It's quite childish to be honest. What I saw if you will allow me to post. Firstly excellent win but we could so easily let it go. Each game I see reminds me how scrappy this league is. Although the ref booked several of their players they were holding, pulling, shoving and so on and I think we need to get smarter in how we deal with it. At times we were caught out by their antics. Trotman was good in the air but we did lose a lot of headers to their 23. We do also still love a good punt out at times. I was pleased with Sinclair and Harrison challenging in the air even lost causes but putting their players off. When the latter came on for the first few minutes he seemed to tear into them, but then inexplicably wandered out to the left and got bogged down. He is however getting back to good form. Whilst I felt at times they had no one to win it for them it was still nail biting as we gave away free kicks just outside the box. Loose balls, long punts and the lack of a challenge sometimes let us down but it is good to be able to come away from a scrappy game with 3 points and be able to feel that we are going to be up there with the pack. Well done Gas. Well done the few hundred who made the long trip. Lovely to see some old friends including Mandy from North Wales who is officially no longer classed as a jinx! PS it was great to see the smiles on players and fans alike ~ let's hope we see even more at Eastleigh.

I've got better things to do than 'stir things up' between two internet forums mate. You clearly don't like my opinion of the other forum, sorry about that.
