You see what you want to see ~ most people are very pleased with the win. Pleased don't try to stir things up between the forums. It's quite childish to be honest. I've got better things to do than 'stir things up' between two internet forums mate. You clearly don't like my opinion of the other forum, sorry about that. No need to apologise ~ ~ you are fully entitled to your opinion. It's just how it came across. Sorry if I misinterpreted what you were trying to get at. There are some who just want to create issues between fans. At the moment all I want to see is fans together getting behind the Gas.

All I can say regarding the two forums is that I'm happy I found this one. I think the majority on here are too. I found the other one first after the club one was shut down but hardly ever posted and it generally just got me down reading it. We aren't happy clappers in here and we aren't rose tinters either, we can all see the mistakes that have been made and I personally don't need some report to tell me what they were. I think of myself as a loyal supporter who will always go and support my club whatever the state of it is. The clubs been run terribly for a long time and lots of mistakes have been made but turning my back on it was never an option. We now seem to be heading in the right direction and I'd like to think all of our supporters are pleased with that whatever forum they're on and however much they blame Higgs, Ward, Watola etc. for the mistakes the club has made. 5 wins on the bounce doesn't make everything alright but it goes a long way. Those 5 wins are down to everybody involved at the club and that's why we support, to help the club be successful if we can , and that goes for me and nick Higgs and everyone in between. Division tends to happen when things are going bad, right now things are looking up so let's pull together and get this club promoted eh.

Our result at Altrincham looks worse and worse as each weekend passes! The only blip of our season. Braintree are a good side, so whilst it was disappointing, I wouldn't say that was a huge problem. We were unlucky with decisions that day too. Sounds weird, but I think we maybe needed that shock against Altrincham to allow us to sort out our mindset. Comments from Mansell post-Altrincham were worrying, but were also shared by a fair percentage of the fan base in pre-season. The players dug in today and ground out a result, something which we didn't see at Alty. Sets a precedent for similar games in the future mind You sense that defeat shock the club up, it made the BoD decide overnighters made financial sense after all, and it seems somebody decided MS & SY should have a bigger say on the side lines on match day. Perhaps even more changes also took place behind the scenes. Win on Tuesday and we really will be looking strong promotion contenders.

We can beat Barnet at home. It's clearly our season. We are back.

I've been out all day visiting in-laws and missed much of the commentary. Just read through all this, and another great result and another great match thread. Thanks as usual to Cantankerous Gas for the excellent photos and table updates. It really is good stuff.

Ironically the result against Barnet seems to have cost us first place. But in retrospect still a good point given how well they've gone. uh? confused. they beat us...

Why does it even bother you ? There is good and bad on both. Easy to cherry pick too It bothers me because I find it pathetic. Yes we're in a shìt situation but I'm enjoying winning games, though I think we have far from turned a corner, however if our form keeps us in the play offs I'm genuinely interested to see how long it is before fans more interested in club politics think to themselves 'we've won a few too many for me to want us to keep losing, we're pushing to get back in the league, I guess i'll have to join in'.. Personally I don't believe any of our forums posters want failure BUT there has been a huge amount of impropriety and abuse of the fanbase. That's not easy to forget. I love it that we are on s winning streak but don't forget who got us here and if we forget then it could very easily get worse. Out of interest, do you think the board have started to interact, albeit cack handedly, because we stayed quiet and accepted what they did ?

agree with your first couple of points, but my take on your last point is this, is it just coincidence that almost immediately after a director resigned, the team started to gel and things have taken off from there, to me it's just too much of a coincidence that since he went there's been a buzz around all things rovers, even to the point of 2 directors having a meeting in the welly, could it be now the shackles have been removed the club can function with a bit more togetherness, i may be right or i maybe wrong , if im wrong then i will put my hand up and say im a twonk

Re: the board, I'm not a fan of theirs at all. I don't pretend to know every little saucy detail about the way the board have acted over the past decade but I haven't forgotten they are the reason we are playing non-league. I'm also not getting over-excited that we are 4th in the conference. However, like you, I am enjoying winning games. My post is just a little moan (which I should probably just keep to myself) when I get the impression (albeit from written words on a forum) that some fans don't want us as a club to recover under the current board as it will be seen as papering over the cracks yet again. I want change at the top but if we can get back up at the first attempt, not everything will be rosy in my view (far from it) but it will be a hell of a lot rosier than it could be if we go the other way. It's a strong view but it's just what I feel.

I am led to believe DC was maybe one loss away from being given the elbow, if what I was told is true.
