Lead bitter not on bench. The strength in depth we've got this year compared to last year is incredible. Helps that there are 5 subs rather than 7, but yes there is a lot more depth there. Odd given the budget cuts, but makes you question how the money was used by previous managers. In the Playoff places at the end of the day?.... Have to do our job first, pressure is off Southport so our lot will have to apply ourselves properly! Even then, I'm not sure I can see Woking or Gateshead slipping up today. Would be nice though  |

Exactly, I said the same in pre-season - it is nice to be winning some games at the moment. Having said that, if we can win games like today (and dare I say it, Tuesday) then I think we have a real chance this year. |

I can see us playing badly and snatching a lucky point today then playing a blinder and winning on Tuesday. |

Rickie got another 2 minutes today. I hate seeing him not playing. Thing is, I actually think Lambert would compliment Liverpool's style more than Balotelli does. RL is a bit slower than other strikers, but he certainly works hard and would create many opportunities for Lallana, Sterling et al. Not sure the same can be said for 'Mario'. But because Balotelli is the bigger name he'll get more playing time and ultimately more patience from the fans. Southampton played a high tempo game last season and he coped fine with them, scoring and assisting 10+ last season. One of his biggest attributes was pulling out wide and allowing the quicker forwards to move into space around him. He needs to be given a chance by Rodgers. |

Thing is when he signed he was probably second choice striker only behind Sturridge. When Ballotelli signed he must have been dissapointed. I know he was always probably going to for a squad player anyway but two mins at the end of every game is a waste for a player of Lamberts ability and age. He's not some young prospect coming through that needs to be gently brought through. |
