Rickie got another 2 minutes today. I hate seeing him not playing. I really don't know what else he expected going there. There was no way he was going to get much game time. Was he on when the equaliser went in then? He came on a couple of minutes before the equaliser - a screamer from Jagelka apparently. I do hope that he gets a run with more game time at some point. C'mon Gas (and Europe!)

Thing is, I actually think Lambert would compliment Liverpool's style more than Balotelli does. RL is a bit slower than other strikers, but he certainly works hard and would create many opportunities for Lallana, Sterling et al. Not sure the same can be said for 'Mario'. But because Balotelli is the 'bigger name' he'll get more playing time and ultimately more patience from the fans. Southampton played a high tempo game last season and he coped fine with them, scoring and assisting 10+ last season. He needs to be given a chance by Rodgers. Thing is when he signed he was probably second choice striker only behind Sturridge. When Ballotelli signed he must have been dissapointed.I know he was always probably going to for a squad player anyway but two mins at the end of every game is a waste for a player of Lamberts ability and age. He's not some young prospect coming through that needs to be gently brought through. Welcome to the Premier League. Tosser fans who only watch the games on Sky want 'big names', rather than hard workers like Lambert. Look at Manchester United for example, making unnecessary £60million signings to generate shirt sales whilst completely neglecting their defence. He certainly wasn't given a fair crack of the whip, and as you say the signing of Balotelli only confirms where he stands. Such a shame, he does have the ability to excel at that level as well. Having said that, I don't blame him for moving. I think the opportunity to end your career at your boyhood club is too good to turn down.

Results going our way so far, very early days though.
Sounds like we're yet to get a foothold in this game, they seem to have been more dangerous in the opening exchanges.
