"Reilly led The Buddies' goalscoring charts in all competitions last season, netting 22 goals and averaging a goal every two games as he helped the side clinch the league title and return to the top tier of Scottish football." - Hopefully he can do this for us, sounds very promising! 4 of those were against non-league Lothian Thistle, 2 against Hearts' U20 team and a further 4 against 3rd tier sides. It was 11 goals from 35 league appearances. The previous 16/17 season he only scored 1 goal in 22 games in the Scottish Championship and got 5 league goals in 50 appearances in total for the 15/16 and 16/17 seasons. I'm not one to judge signings before they have played for us but I'm quite cautious about this one. The ecstatic reaction by some of our fans on Twitter is worrying me that they are setting expectations very high.

I've only seen him twice and on both occasions he didn't stand out, but that was only two games and it would be unfair to judge him fully on that. I said on a different thread Jack Marriott scored 8 goals in League Two and the following season moved to Peterborough and scored 27 in League One surrounded by different players and playing in a different formation. Hopefully Reilly can improve his goal tally playing with the likes of Bennett, Lines, Sercs and now Rodman. Like all players he will have my support on a match day and I wish him well. UTG!

He will provide good competition for Ellis and Nichols.
Annoying seeing people on Facebook commenting this must be the end for Nichol. I hope Tom has made the most of the off season and got in the gym, put some muscle on and worked on keeping his pace.

Another 8 stone weakling in the building. We need a big bloke up front as a different option. It ain't rocket science.

Hope he works out good for us but those Scottish goalkeepers take some beating for amusement π

Sure his name is Reilly and not Mc Nichols?

Some of the defending and goalkeeping in that video was bordering on the comical. He will find a big difference in L1 where defenders look to stay with and close down before you even get the ball under control, and where defenders push up and put the attacker offside. Still it is what it is, we obviously don't have money to spend so GR is probably all we can expect. A bit meh for me, but I will support the lad and hope that he will come good.

Reilly looks like a replacement for Telford, so DC still has to sign a player to replace Gaffers. I'd say so far that all the players signed seem improvements on the players leaving, hopefully that continues with Gaffers &, also, Brown's replacements.

Can you take the pens out too, plus anything from less than 6 yards out. Thanks.

Reilly ia good at running the channels apparently, that is not Telford's game at all. Telford is an off the shoulder striker.

I spoke with two Rovers players this afternoon they both rated Gavin from their training sessions with him. One said "VERY FAST and VERY LIVELY" the other said "VERY GOOD" and I could tell by the looks on their faces that they meant it.

From the video it looks like Reilly knows where the net is.
But with short ass Reilly and Nichols up front and with Bennet and Rodman expected to be putting good ball into the box from both wings Harrison needs to step up to the plate and win more knockdowns.
Next generation of Smash and Grab on the horizon? Crash and dash? Shatter and clatter?
Just had a dream, first game of the season Wael leads the teams out wearing a kilt to the Bristol Bagpipe Band, what a sight!

The mackems at work were sure he was going there, it's rare for Rovers to win out against a bigger club

I wonβt pretend to know if this is a good or bad signing, but welcome Gavin.
Another striker and a LB on the shopping list?
