Loving the World Cup but I just want England to fail. Won’t get a good response, no doubt, but I’m being honest. Our f.a fail us lower league teams without 2nd thought and I find it really hard to support a really bad corporation that spills over and we pay the price. Imagine the snake taking that last pen (never going to happen). Be honest: would you hope he missed? I would.

Are you Welsh or Scottish? (or any other nationality in the world?)

No. I have no love for our FA and agree with some of your points but I don’t really think the England team is the FAs anyway. It is our team so yes, I want them to do well. Tbh I don’t really know if the FA care too much if England do well or not. As always it’s the fans who really care. UTG!

Just a thought but if we won the WC would that prove there's now no need for Premiership teams to play in the EFL cup in the future? Although it we won, or even got to the final, it would boost football in this country and hopefully lead to bigger attendances this season.

there are many gasheads (derogatory) that wish rovers to fail, ive met them and they are deluded.... so I'm not in the slightest bit surprised that some English people wish failure on the nation....

No.
The feel-good factor around large parts of the country right now (off the back of England’s performances at the World Cup) is superb - and I hope that continues for as long as possible.

What a really odd sentiment, there have been times when I have had no love for the WRU and the FAW but I've never wanted Wales to fail, isn't that called cutting off your nose to spite your face?
For the record even I want England to win the World Cup!

Does that mean that if Rovers had a board that you didn’t like then you’d want (or have wanted) them to fail? Bit of a strange view in my opinion, surely it’s the team you support, not the people running it.

Will you be at Cheddar supporting BRFC and then supporting England in Cheddars clubhouse after the game?

Like you I am Welsh, but lot's of people don't get that as I was born in Bristol but represented Wales at athletics through my fathers and all of his forefathers where welsh, well up to my great-great-great grandfather who was from near Shrewsbury, so still Welsh! I am 100% behind England and honestly think we could make the final.

By the way, no I wont be going to Cheddar to support the development team. There are 2 reasons why, which is none of your god damn business
Also, I like how you call me a troll. Here is a definition of an internet troll.... In Internet troll is a person who starts quarrels or upsets people on the Internet to distract and sow discord by posting inflammatory and digressive, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community with the intent of provoking readers into displaying emotional responses and normalizing tangential discussion, whether for the troll's amusement or a specific gain. Sounds like a perfect description to a lot of your BS threads, don't you think? But apparently, I am the troll
And just a final point, we all know what you are implying about going to Cheddar to watch the development team play. Using a development friendly game as a measuring stick for you to think you are better than me, just adds more weight to how pathetic you really are!
"Ohh look at me, I am going to Cheddar to watch the development team play a pre season friendly game so I am better then you and a better gashead than you and of course have a bigger penis than you!" What a joke!

Sometimes between 2000 and 2016 I just didn't care. After so many disappointments I lost faith in the England team. I never wanted them to lose, but when they inevitably did, I was ready for it and just accepted how crap they were compared with how good they should be.
This squad and manager are radically different.
They aren't the golden generation that promised so much and delivered so little. They don't seem to freeze in the big games. Southgate has surprised me. I wasn't delighted when he was appointed, but he has surprised me in the way he handles the players and the media. The players seem to step up and perform, and I can't imagine any of them huffing and puffing off the pitch moaning about the fans booing them.
So no, I don't want them to fail.
