Think Sam Matthews will feature to-morrow.Very eager to impress.? I like what I've seen of him and think he could do well. Will he have the end product though and is he the right player to play in a tricky away game tomorrow? I would go with steel and experience tomorrow. |

Just to throw something else into the mix, Connor Chapman has told the Portsmouth manager he wants to leaver, I know we have been interested in him.

There's no strikers, they were all released, Telford etc, apart from one who's out with a long term injury. I don't know why DC's didn't try Broadbent upfront in the second half v Exeter as surely he can't be any worse than Nichols upfront on his own tomorrow. perhaps a striker has signed and DC doesn't want to let Posh know until the last second if not it's going to be a long afternoon tomorrow unless Posh are also struggling after signing so many new players. Are you having a laugh Broadbent up front 🤣 I'd put a tenner on it that he'd be more effective tomorrow than Nichols if we do start with Nichols, as seems likely, it'll be worse than playing with 10 men as at least we wouldn't pass to player who'd been sent off! Even a fit Lines maybe a better option. Anyway what was there to lose last Saturday trying TB upfront when we were already 3-0 down at half time and he was being subbed off anyway. |

I'd be over the moon if we get Devante Cole permanently and Rhys Healey on loan.
But can't see it being both, and think it'll be the latter.

Hopefully but let's not get too worked up on this. It is one match which we would find hard to get anything from whatever. I've accepted the later it goes into the week, the less likely they are to start even if we were to sign someone. The main thing is we get the RIGHT PLAYER in before Thursday's deadline.
I hope the club officials are more confident on getting something tomorrow!!
Still not having a replacement for Ellis a day before the first game is a shambles, regardless of the opposition. They have had long enough to get the right player in, and maybe they will, but its not ideal preparation as is standard with Rovers these days.
More likely to sign Dwight Yorke's son than Andy Cole's...

There will be dozens, possibly even hundreds of deals in the PL and FL in the next week. Reading this forum anyone would BRFC are the only club wanting to bring anyone in. Scunthorpe want to get 4 in next week, even Man U, prob the richest club in the world, want to get a couple in. No doubt there will be quite a few deals today. I am staggered by some of the comments on GasChat, either there are a bunch of wind up merchants or a large number of supporters who have literally no idea how signing players actually works as opposed to how it is on Championship manager. Don't forget we have already brought in 4 or 5 weeks ago, and Ellis only left last week for christ sake. Everyone was positive about our recruitment until a week or so ago. Some people seem to live in a dreamworld. But Gaffney left 5 weeks ago |

The coaches would know. Having seen them in pre season a couple of times there is nobody ready yet in my opinion. So we have a development side that won loads of things last season but not one is capable of doing a one game job for the first team ? I rate Tom Nichols very highly but if he is badly out of form or the new guy from scotland is still carrying a injury and can't play a full 90 mins, who do we have in reserve ? Bennett is not a striker, more a No 10 so nobody in the development side is capable in holding the ball up ? Nichols out of form? what for over a season? |
