You’re a better supporter than me? You really are some sort of loon! Do us all a favour and support Walsall because we all know what that rhymes with. Why don't you grow up and get hold of reality we are sh** cus of a sh** manager who is out of his depth at this level Yawn.

The only players that came out of today with any credit was Broadbent and James Clarke.
We are crying out for some balance.
No natural left back. Craig was awful today. No pace to offer any overlapping runs. Positioning wasn’t even that of a LB. Not even his teammates would pass to him when he was free. He even managed a 50 yard back pass to put a Southend player through on goal. Worse thing is that he even looked like he didn’t care. Why isn’t Kelly given a chance? He surely would be so much better than Craig today.
2 CDMs. Upson and Clarke - one or the other. No creativity in the middle.
We can’t keep persisting with Nichols. He is just so lightweight. Offers nothing. Jakubiak with Payne would be a good pairing. Both strong one with pace.

Wow, complete melt down on the forum once again, for years we have been notoriously bad starters even our dalliance with the non league didn’t start well!! I too was very disappointed with today’s effort, however I will continue to support the players and the manager and am sure DC will turn it around very soon, starting at QPR on Tuesday. UTG

We do look like relegation fodder I’m afraid. The midfield was clearly the problem which is shocking considering many, including myself, labelled it as our stronngest position. More stray, weak passes than good ones today on many occasions. Had to feel for all of the strikers, absolutely nothing to work with. We could have had Messi and Ronaldo up front today and they wouldn’t have had a sniff. James clarke and Sam matthews the only two players who deserve praise so far this season. Also, how many poor croses from free kicks and corners did Rodman put in today?? Today was the first time since we went down that I’ve seen players look as if they aren’t trying.

DC is a top man, and a good, young, enthusiastic manager and I keep saying it. But something isn't right. Like I said earlier this team is worse than the team that got promoted from League 2. Since we've been back in League 1 we've got worse every season and haven't improved one bit. Like f**k he is a useless twat at this level The problem D.C got is the players who achieved two promotions have gone !. Players like Midd Mc Brown Bodin Easter Taylor Harrison Mansell Gaffs were the backbone motivation and success of this football club. The challenge for D.C is how do you incorporate and continue the success with new faces ?. No question D.C is brilliant with the former . But he seems to be struggling with all these new faces and knowing how to motivate and identify their best positions. I am afraid the pass is the pass and D.C must do something very soon.

Why spend budget on getting the pitch nice and in great condition only for us to play long ball?!
Shocking display today worst under Clarke that I’ve seen.

Listening to Geoff on the radio talking about lack of direction from the board etc is very worrying.
Only last week he had his sit down with Wael.

Is it just me that’s taking the poor performance out on the ref and fuming about how diabolical him and his assistant were?
Oxley got two yellows right?

We lose a game and a lot use it as a means to blame the board but it wasn’t them on the pitch today, we didn’t have Martyn Starnes on the wing and Steve Hamer up front.
DC has more than enough backing this summer, he’s a had a new pitch laid for him to suit his style of play, players from rival clubs that won’t have come cheap (Upson, Rodman ect) and a replacement for Harrison in Payne. I like the guy and his passion to win games and obviously want him to stay on but it’s him and the playing squad that should be blamed for losing a couple of games not the board. He needs to take drastic action to turn things around.

2 CDMs. Upson and Clarke - one or the other. No creativity in the middle. Totally agree with this, you have to have at least one ball carrying midfielder. Away from home maybe, but not at home against an average team who you are trying to break down.

UTG So we should, y'know, just accept that we will always start badly and not ask why we aren't learning why we start badly? Must be nice for our opponents to look at the fixture list each season and know they have 3 easy points if they can just play us in the first couple of months of the season...
