Why does dc use the need of bedding together as an excuse when look no further than top of the table and there is a team that has changed the entire side from last year in Peterborough, he’s clutching at straws I hate the whole "we need time to gel" bollocks, it is an insult to the intelligence.

Why they hell didn't we buy him, I said last season he is the next Marcus Stewart Wow,so you think telford will top score[2nd top ] in the premier league in the future, brave prediction by you. Unlikely, but he'll score many more for Bury this year than your old favorite Nichols ever will for us ....

People calling for Reilly to be picked should realise that the Scottish Championship is probably the equivalent of the National league and that half of his 22 goals last season came against lower league and non league clubs in Scotland So we are handing out contracts to players who are not good enough to get in our first XI? Good grief whatever next. Although that is not to say I disagree. We have already signed Mensah from non-league and let him go and paid 350k for a player who can't hit a barn door with a banjo so I wouldn't be surprised if Reilly turned up for training and turned out to be a speculative punt gone massively wrong which is why he doesn't get a run in the side. I am fast losing faith in DC with these signings that never play. I think he might very well be out of his depth in terms of trying to put together a squad that can challenge for top 6.

DC is loyal and stubborn and does not want to accept he wasted £350k on Nichols so plays him out of hope that he'll eventually be proved right. Just wonder how long before another forward gets a chance.

On a positive note he at least showed us how to play with 10 men, as he did nothing in the first half apart from nearly get sent off! Martin looked solid and played a big part in the penalty but you just knew the ref was looking to brandish a second yellow today, so Martin should really have been subbed when he got away with the foul just before his second yellow. I can't understand Rodman, he's managing to make Moore look a decent winger and he can't even get a game at Bury, I thought he'd have at least raised himself for his return to his former club.

Lets face it, today was sh**. It just happens that the team we played were just as bad. The summer recruitment was terrible. We have players he has brought in that he wont play, our new Scottish forward for example, and players that he cant play, an injured left back. Meanwhile last Januarys signing goes to Lincoln. DC WONT play any of our kids unless it is a cup games because he really doesn't care about them, but when it comes to league game he will try any of his "trusted" first team. Why cannot he accept that he bought a dud in Nichols I don't know. If anyone had to go out on loan, it was him. We should have signed Telford, no doubt, Bury have a bargain there, meanwhile we sign someone we have never heard of from Scotland, and then we panic but a forward from the Shrews. What a mess, and this is after he has qualified to coach. What a laugh
Already we are looking at a "nothing" season. DC has more resources that any other Rovers manager that I can readily remember. If we are in the bottom 4 when we hit December, he should go

great runs seldom start with a bang i.e 5-0 wins and the like so this scrappy , dogged point , could be the start of our rise up the table, no not could be, it will be! onward and upwards Rovers!

Well done today, Gas.
Away point is never to be sniffed at, but playing 30 mins with 10 men; the sending off having been the wrong decision, the ref clearly having been a homer and missing our two most creative midfielders, DC and the lads deserve credit. If we can beat Plymouth next Saturday, the garden will be looking a lot rosier. Lines being back will be a major positive. UTG!

Just got back and not read this thread yet but: - we have character and fight - but we seem very disjointed, with passes going astray - Shrewsbury were poor - we didn’t look like scoring from open play, nor did they; sums it up when our goal is a pen and there’s an own-goal.

After the last couple of games, I would have taken a scrappy 1-1 away before the game at a place we seldom get anything at. It was all over at half time last season when we were there. It just stings a little because we were 1-0 up and should have seen the second yellow coming.
Had we been 1-0 down and shrewsbury down to 10 and we equalised it might feel a bit different.
DC is correct in a way. 1-1 away is ok, a week on the training ground before Plymouth next week where we can work on things. Onwards and upwards.

Just caught up with the Match day thread & wish I hadn't bothered. If I didn't know the result I'd swear we'd been hammered 5-0 in a game which pretty much condemned us to relegation. Had to check it was really only 1st Sept & 6 games in. As Kammy would say UNBELIEVABLE JEFF.

To put it in perspective they have 2 players left from last season, so that result should have no bearing on the quality of this one. Against a side in poor form we could barely string a pass together. Pathetic recruitment from DC and the HoR, it seems.

How many times has that been said a week on the training ground, dust down,we move on and it just gets worst.
