Bonham 8.5 - Looks like a great acquisition
J Clarke 7.5 - Solid enough
Lockyer 7.5 - Getting back to his best
Craig 7.5 - Maybe should have picked up the lad that scored
Kelly 8 - Looks a better bet than Martin
Lines 8.5 - Was top notch today, heading, tackling and delivering
O Clarke 9.5 - MOM was truly outstanding
Sinclair 9 - 100% heartbeat of the club
Bennett 8 - Looks a threat though is lightweight at times
Nichols 7 - Gives the effort but not happening
Reilly 8 - Decent performance full of running
Payne 4.5 - What has happened to him, looks a bit unfit
Jakubiah 7 - Bright little cameo, like to see him with Reilly

Well done Gas! Scored against the run of play but then stepped into overdrive. The beard, though technically not the best, was an inspiration and this rubbed off on the others. Ollie Clarke is playing out of his skin! D.C. went back to basics and started with most players from last season and it worked! Still not convinced defensibly but the keeper makes a massive difference. One swallow doesn't make a summer but it's a start! Onto next project and UTG!

Bonham: 8.5. Kept us in it with a worldy inside the first 5 minutes. Seems to have given the back four more confidence and looks a good signing.
J Clarke: 8. Tested but in typical James Clarke style stuck to his task admirably. Much underrated.
Lockyer: 8.5. Solid and uncomplicated throughout and capped a good performabce with a goal.
Craig: 8. Like Locks, solid throughout. Will never give you pace or a quality defence splitting pass, but crucially knows how to defend.
Kelly: 8. Growing to like this lad. Had a tough five minutes to begin with but kept going against a tricky player and came out on top.
Sinclair: 9. An engine like that and he's still not fully fit! And not in his best position, albeit one he's comfortable in. The heartbeat of this team and just what we have lacked. Deserved his ovation.
Lines: 9. Bossed midfield and showed determination and fighting spirit alongside his undoubted quality. Still our best footballer for me.
O Clarke: 9.5 MoM. Another all action display capped with a great strike. Might have scored more actually. A strength defensively and a threat going forward. Proper midfielder's performance.
Bennett: 8. Worked hard throughout but maybe lacking a bit of confidence and that spark we saw last season. Decent hardworking performance.
Nichols: 7. Showed in flashes but I'm afraid that's not enough after all this time without scoring.
Reilly: 8.5. A mate of mine is a Hearts fan and he told me that Reilly will score when given chances. He was right. Very encouraging performance.
Payne: 3. Not good enough. Improved, to be fair, but for ten minutes appeared disinterested.
Jakubiak: 6. Lively.
Matthews: nole.
Ref: 8. Good overall.
Cov: 7. Tidy and good going forward. Suspect defensively though.
DC: 9. Do not doubt this man. He knows what he is doing.

Bonham 8.5 Another commanding display J. Clarke 7.5 Mr Reliable Lockyer 8 the captain is getting back to his best. Craig 7.5 a strong game, thankfully Coventry didn't exploit his weakness in the air much Kelly 7.5 a really good prospect, he improves with every game, we didnt need Martin. Sinclair 8.5 Great to have him back, he inspires everyone. O. Clarke 9 M.o.M absolutely bossed the midfield and a trademark Olly goal. Lines 8.5 Best game this season. Bennett 7 some nice touches, adds balance to the team. Nichols 6 tried hard but never got close to a goal' Reilly 7.5 took his goal well and worked hard. Subs: Payne 5 he looked knackered after five minutes, such a big disappointment after Tuesdays improved display Jakubiak 7 a good cameo, nearly scored at the near post. Matthews.6 looked ok in the short time he was on. Crowd 7 decent numbers considering the awful weather, Ref 6.5 ok, let the game flow but missed a few things Coventry 6.5 mid table team, mid table performance. |

Bonham-8.5 kept us in the game with a few great saves in the first 5 minutes
J. Clarke- 7 played well, wasn’t really troubled
Lockyer-7.5 overal solid, and scored again!
Craig-7 didn’t do much wrong
Kelly-7 same as J.Clarke rarely troubled but done what was needed as and when, hope he has a run in the team
Sinclair-8 done what sincs does, chased everything and works his socks off
O. Clarke-9 absolutely class today, won near enough all his battles, broke play down excellently, him and lines still the best CM partnership
Lines-8.5 made some excellent balls, dictated the game with Clarke, when he plays like he did today, we generally win games
Bennett-7 a typical Bennett performance for me, some great touches and skill, however, doesn’t track back enough and his final product still not quite there
Nichols-5 after seeing Reilly start and play a large part today, can’t see how he keeps getting played, I’m sorry to say but for me, he just doesn’t have it
Reilly-7.5 took his goal exceptionally, always looks a threat and what’s to make something happen, his work rate is absolutely phenomenal
Subs: Payne-5 looked slow, lethargic,uninterested and I was worried to see him play like it, hope it was just a one off
Jakubiak-6.5- would like to see him start with Reilly, they both look hungry as you like, done well when he came on and look sharp
Matthews- NOLE
Crowd-6.5 for our first win of the season and after being 3 up, it was flat, can’t help but feel it’s mainly to do with the crap going on off the pitch but hopefully we can all get behind them better
Ref 7 was ok!
Coventry-6 looked dangerous up top in parts but their defence was truly awful, was nice of there fans to all clap the young uns as they walked around the pitch so fair play to them for that, losing 3-1 and getting soaked couldn’t of made their trip down very good though

Interesting that Clarke went back to a lot of the old guard today, Sinclair/Lines/O Clarke could have been in our midfield during the conference season. Still we definitely looked better today and that's still with the likes of Partington and Sercombe to return who I would consider two of our best players.
