I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure Wael responded to an interviewer asking if he was here for the long term by saying something like, "I'll stay as long as I'm wanted." I'd be intrigued to see what his response to the outcome of this poll would be... Hopefully he sees this and disappears off to buy his first choice of club Giillingham instead.

Wael is gonna pull a rabbit out of his hat 🎩 🐇 I’ve never seen him in a hat! Why spread lies?

So you guess. But when Wael was meeting Macron abroad, people were jumping the gun and saying he does not like us anymore, as he was attending a champions League game. Not long after we had a 20% sell on all Macron goods. Easier for a lot to moan and say that they are doing nothing though. Just because we don't know what they are doing, does not mean that are doing nothing. That could be the case, but why employ a CEO to do nothing?? The same people say, Hani won't spend any money and he's tight. The two don't go hand in hand. It's he tight?? Or does he waste money on People to do nothing??? Yes guessing, as like everyone on here I know absolutely nothing of what's going on. Always been positive towards the board, especially when the rumours were rife on here about not paying bills & UWE being dead long before it was announced, despite them saying landing lights are on, we are still negotiating etc etc. The way they announced the UWE decision which was as unprofessional as it gets, started to change my opinion of them. It was cemented by SH memorable interview the following day, & Wael's nonsense about regeneration of the Mem shortly after, with all the people on board with loads of experience in building 12 stadiums! Then what about the Colony, SH gaff at the start giving a ridiculous date of when it would be in use, then appointing the firm from Cheltenham, then in March stating PP would be sought in 6-8 weeks to appease fans, & all the time they knew the PP was nothing to do with the training side but a couple of bungalows or a barn or something, which was half arsed at best. Then wheeling SH out again to say the cost had trebbled. They are spending money yes, but whether they spend wisely or waste it, they are protecting that money by a charge against the Mem, what happens when there is no more equity? IMO I think Wael wanted a plaything & the family saw a good opportunity to make money for themselves & investors. When UWE wouldn't play ball it watered on their chips & ours! As SH has said, apart from Wael, they have no interest in football. Will still support the team, but I am as indifferent about them now as I am of the prospect of sitting in a new stadium, I believe it when I am sat in it. They wanted to buy Gillingham first, so they were never going to make money on them. So I don't think it was ever about money. I agree the colony is the most worrying thing, but they could be looking for good ways to fund it. Or awaiting a decision on a stadium project first. Or could be doing nothing lol So many possibilities. My point is, just because we don't hear anything, does not mean nothing is happening.

What are the chances that if DC walks, he is replaced by the best Jordanian Coach. The meltdown on here would be epic! Or we could recycle his stuff changing DC to SC Stewart Campbell? :-|

I've always been of the mind that they never had the money for the stadium and another poster came up with a theory that the aim was to buy a club cheaply and use a model of promoting from within via a development squad to evolve the playing side in a 'sustainable' way. The more that time passes the more that those two viewpoints make a lot of sense- so perhaps the point all along was to improve the HR infrastrcucture while grooming the dev team to be the main source of playing talent so no big expenditure has to be made on the playing side....they just didn't tell us that to start with because hey, who wants to water all over the honeymoon period? If that theory is correct they wasted an hell of a lot on Currah & co's wages! I sense the plan was to get the stadium land at a bargain price/low lease but the UWE wouldn't play ball. I just don't see how buying Gillingham is congruent with building the UWE. Nor not being able to afford more than the groundworks for a training pitch. Dwane sports are potless. They could just about afford the entrance fee but the rest is on tick using equity in the stadium and sponsors to pay for refubishments. I wouldn't put it past them to hire consultants initially and let them go on the quiet giving a veneer of respectability and the fans off their backs. Then start moving goalposts with UWE...before you know it you are in a situation where you are lamenting that the UWE didn't go to Jordan as a deal breaker- I mean wtf?!

There is an outside chance- but even that is remote because (as I've said elsewhere) don't you think if there was good news or even a plan for the next 24 months DC would know about it? The fact they are risking letting the best manager we have for the job walk over confidientiality suggests it's far more likely that all this wink wink nudge nudge nonsense from certain posters is a load of bull. If it isn't and they are actually hanging DC out to dry and risking his resignation whilst negotiating a sale by night then I have no words, basically.

I definitely fall into the "be careful what you wish for" camp. Here is why:
1. We will never know why the UWE deal fell through. There is an automatic assumption that it was the fault of our owners, however it could have been the fault of UWE and I have heard anything, read anything that conclusively proves either way.
2. When they came in, they NEVER EVER said that they were Billionaires prepared to chuck loads of cash at the club. Anyone who thinks otherwise is just wrong. They were very fair at the beginning with "Evolution, not Revolution". I do believe we have evolved over the last couple of years. Certainly with TG trying to generate more income. I hear things like "The ALQ's haven't even paid for the refurbishments". Good, I say. The club needs to be sustainable in its own right. It shows that under the previous owners we hadn't engaged with the business community enough.
3. The Colony - The biggest conspiracy theory in the history of Bristol Rovers. Actually, they have told us what has happened. It's turned out to be more expensive that they were expecting. I can believe that. They have bought the land, that shows me that they had intentions. I actually think that they are right to pull the plug if they cannot afford it.
4. The 2nd conspiracy that they will sell the stadium when their loan value equals the asset value. This one is still to be decided. However, put yourself in their shoes for a moment. If you heard the sh** that is being spouted about you. If you see the disrespectful memes that are being posted on social media. If you start to hear rascist undertones about your country of origin. If you are being called a fraud. What would you do? I think we may be in danger of creating a self fulfilling prophecy.
Apart from chucking millions into the club, I don't see how they could have done much differently. People talk about three goal scorers leaving. No one is blaming the players here. The players wanted to leave to further their careers (and more cash). Hamer in his interview last week hinted that we were being paid in instalments and if you listen to what he said and you do have to listen hard. He said that the money that they had received was reinvested in players. That suggests to me that we haven't received all the money for those three players.
Fans are so focused on this cash from three players, however no one ever asked what happened to the £1m we supposedly received when Ricky Lambert made his England debut. Our transfer record is still Andy Tillson, so what happened to that money, eh?
Just be careful what you wish for.

Although didn’t SHamer talk about a 10 year gestation period. I’m expecting to be disappointed in 2028 if I’m still breathing.

Our only hope at the moment is that a rabbit wearing a hat will ride into Town on a unicorn with a pocket full of magic beans to pay Sir Ricky’s wages. Or Tommy Gun finds some composure in front of goal.

Difficult one this, think Wael is great football bloke but does not seem able to have access to funds we need even for training ground,Steve Hamer also seems decent bloke to me who has to front up and is pushed out by the owners to face the music all the time , sort of 'don't shoot the messenger'situation, its the whole Dwayne Sports thing which i find disconcerting and veiled in secrecy all the time, so in conclusion i believe its the general set up of club which needs changing not the two individuals mentioned, i know this was supposed to be the new 'professional' Rovers ,dragging us into 21st century but on reflection perhaps the 'old 'ways were better for us?i.e a labor of love aka the Dunfords?

He didn't know about the takeover before it happened, he said so himself. I don't think manager's are kept in the loop, until stuff happens, especially if there are clauses in place. DC's head is all over the place, because of all the rumours. According to loads on here, they came from good sources, within the club. So why don't they name them, know they know it could be harming the club.

Clearly somebody has convinced Knowall something is going on.
