But in all fairness that side could had got to the playoffs in our first season back in league one.If we had kept Taylors goals and invested in a top player or two we could be a club in the championship right now |

It's pretty black and white though, if you hit the bar it's because the shot wasn't on target ergo it's not good enough, not unlucky. The football league don't take hitting the woodwork into account when calculating your points total for exactly that reason- it's a useless metric because it's not good enough. Penalty decisions given against us is perhaps more reason for claiming bad luck but then you get into all the ones given in our favour, I doubt there is much significant inbalance either way once those incidents have been totted up. Tl;dr: if we were a better team we would score more goals and we wouldn't be complaining about luck. |
