We are going down. Shambolic season up until now. I’ve said before our conference side would take this team to the cleaners. We were down and out for sure when John Ward arrived all those years ago. We have time to recover from this if we act before Christmas. Not sure the club above the manager will act. Hope they do. Sad days. We need a new manager to bring life back to team. This can’t go on for sure.

This just feels like such an inevitable relegation season. So painful to watch. I said exactly the same... On the 25th of August.

Perhaps we're both crap and unlucky? They're not mutually exclusive..... If we were a better team we would score more goals and we wouldn't be complaining about luck. But we would though, that's what football fans do....

Well, that's that this afternoon. I fear a real confidence destroying drubbing to follow next Saturday

Out of interest, how many times have we hit the woodwork this season ? I wondered that earlier and thought that if there were a table for it then we'd be near the top of it. Which would make a change.
I do feel that we've had quite a bit of bad luck, but I also think we'd have had a lot more chance of weathering it if we were any good. Which we're not

This cannot be allowed to carry on. We have to appoint a new manager immediately.

As a manager there are no excuses for continuously picking out of form players like this. He either wants the sack or is too stubborn to turn this around

Tense scenes as fans falling out on east terrace after goal. Many headed for bar / pub / home, can’t blame them tbh. This is dreadful.

If we were a better team we would score more goals and we wouldn't be complaining about luck. But we would though, that's what football fans do.... Well then *if* that is true that just shows what sort of grasp the average football fan has on reality and how their views have to be taken with a pinch of salt. I'd like to think most have sufficient powers of objectivity that they can see that it's not luck that has put us where we are, it's simply a summer of poor recruitment and a 3rd of a season of poor management.

Perhaps we're both crap and unlucky? They're not mutually exclusive..... It's pretty black and white though, if you hit the bar it's because the shot wasn't on target ergo it's not good enough, not unlucky. The football league don't take hitting the woodwork into account when calculating your points total for exactly that reason- it's a useless metric because it's not good enough. Penalty decisions given against us is perhaps more reason for claiming bad luck but then you get into all the ones given in our favour, I doubt there is much significant inbalance either way once those incidents have been totted up. Tl;dr: if we were a better team we would score more goals and we wouldn't be complaining about luck. Fair one, but then you get the ones like Donny have just had where you hit the bar and it drops in or to your player to put it away. They happen at least 1 in 3 and we aren't even getting those. What sums up our season was Matthews free kick where it went post-keeper-crossbar-line and out.

More narrow sh**e starting with 5 at the back with defensive players at fullback at home is indefensible. DC out I’ve had enough.

Not terrible but Donnymore clinical. Got a feeling we will get hammered as we will have to go for it and Donny look quick on the counter. Really impressed with their number 7.

I don’t mind us playing the 5-3-2 formation away from home but it’s really not working at home. DC surely must realise this after having to make another early change. Although saying that, the change really didn’t do much!

Why is DC now of all times decided to steadfastly stick with the same front two? What happened to his “game by game” selections, I looked at the team sheet at 2 and already sensed a defeat which sums it up at the moment.

We're the better side, just the same old problem of failing to put the ball in the net.
If we don't get a goalscorer in during January, relegation is inevitable.

As a manager there are no excuses for continuously picking out of form players like this. He either wants the sack or is too stubborn to turn this around He's got no one else to pick though has he that have proven to be any better than whoever he puts out. The major failings come from the board who have not given him the budget to compete in this league and have sold all of the quality out of it. If you have a bottom 12 budget the likelihood is you will be somewhere in the bottom 12.

Don't worry, we'll be fine, we've got Nichols up top.
Oh, hang on a minute, he's already scored his goal for the season.
