Here is an alternative conversation using the words used on here...
Poster: "And again racism is a two way thing we lived in a house for over 30 years and had a family of 8 adults move in next door into a 3 bed semi and made our lives hell"
Response: "what are you talking about? What has this got to do with racism?"
Poster: "well, I didn't want to offend anyone, but the family in question were Asian"
Response: "Asian you say. You are a complete racist blah blah blah....."

He said they were Asian yet oldie presumed they were Indian....Asia is a huge continent yet his sub conscious picked out Indians as bad uns so there is no doubt his deep seated racist feelings towards Indians came to the fore in that post...Rather disgusting and abhorrent really as Indians integrate far better into western society than Pakistanis who struggle to integrate outside of Pakistan.

However, choose your ethnic group within the context of Midland Gas original post and the response I made remains the same.

This is a serious topic and to pick up people for a poorly worded post in order to score cheap debating points is unworthy.
It does nothing but cause antagonism and reduces something important to a slagging match.

I think what I have been (tongue in cheek) doing with Oldie is just taking the water out of the nonsense we currently have, where something totally innocent is turned into something nasty. |
