All of this talk and I’m really starting to think we will promote someone from within. I think they will promote the cheap option from within. If, as rumoured, there has to be a cut of 1 million quid in the budget next season, where do you think the axe will fall? It won't be the CEO, it won't be the Chairman, it won't be the London Office.............It will be the Development Squad as that costs 300k a year......what else will be cut? Where did you get the £1,000,000 budget cut from? And you mean from the playing budget?

I thought it was mutual consent and Starnes even slipped up and said he told Darrell to think about it and not make any rash decisions - sounds like dc wanted to leave and then shot the final bullet in that interview so that he had no choice but to leave as otherwise was going to get sacked! Everyone’s blaming the club but imo dc wanted to leave more than we wanted to sack him. My interpretation of the starnes interview was that they had a conversation and the club decided dc was leaving by mutual consent. starnes could not actually remember the small detail of who suggested dc should go. Starnes was lying. If anything sums up the misleading and deceitful way in which the Board and owners communicate with the fans and media, it must be the interview Starnes had with Twentyman. ---------------- MS: It became evident during our chat that it might be a good idea...to part company and freshen things up. We just felt it was time to make a change, and see if that would affect the fortunes of the club. GT: So you made that suggestion? MS: It came out in conversation. GT: But you made the suggestion, though? MS: It came out in conversation. GT: Ok. Did he suggest he walked away or did you put it to him? MS: Umm..err. To be honest with you, Geoff, I can't remember where the first suggestion came from. ------------ Now you could argue that it doesn't matter who said what, but I would suggest that if it doesn't matter, then you can be honest about it, for a change. But our leaders are programmed to never tell the whole truth about anything, and to suggest that you can't remember the most important part of the most important conversation you've had for years is just laughable. And fibbing. And if they can lie about this, then you can bet they can lie about a new stadium and training ground.

.It doesn’t matter who’s next manager, the priority is to avoid relagation and play some decent football which hopefully then the stay away fans will return

Don’t know the budget but SC,IH,MC,PH Fair enough, but I meant choose good football or staying up (not necessarily a choice, I realise) but sometimes it is. I feel like atm both would be a bit too much to ask for.

Like it or not DC had to go yes it was a shame, but he wouldn’t change his style change after change etc, falling attendances, the football and tactics were unbearable to watch come the end,v Barnet couldn’t see out a 1-0 win 2 promotions or not you can’t persevere with any manager with a record over the last 40 odd games like his 😢

Interesting Hamer said about the applicants, “some of them are romantic”
Is he hinting at Holloway?

Fair play to Coughlan, I thought he spoke very well in his post-match interview. If we do well while he's Interim Manager, then I wouldn't be against giving him the job until the end of the season. Provides at least a tiny bit of continuity and stability, and then reassess in the summer. Still, let's see how we get on in the next couple of weeks.

Good positive interview from Graham Coughlan. Sounds like he knows his stuff and did a good job for the club this week. It must feel like a precarious position not knowing what is around the corner for him. Good Luck

Good interview. Big decisions imminent in Jan Window and a new manager would need to rely on advice re who is and is not good enough. Our two loanees at Lincoln aren't getting game time so lots to consider and actual goalscorers must be a priority.

Well what can you say. A great interview, came across very well. Let's see how the next few games go, if we improve significantly I feel we could do a lot worse than this man.

Seems like a top bloke and most importantly out of that for me was “ I wanted us to use width , two right footers on the right and two left footers on the left” This as I’ve said many times this season has been our biggest downfall all season playing players on the wrong sides has made our play predictable and narrow . I wasn’t there today but it sounded like we made use of that width and Sunderland knew they were in a game. Give him the fleetwood game and a chance to go again , early signs are good with this bloke as he’s clearly identified what’s been the biggest problem and corrected it in his very first game , and thank f**k for that. UTG.

Great interview. Wasn’t afraid to say that our tactics recently had been too predictable, likes hard workers and will expect more all the time. We will be seeing more of Jak and likes balance in the team. I would be happy to see this man take charge for the rest of the season if not longer. Never heard of him until DC’s sacking but wow very impressed with his interview.

Nice interview from Coughlan. Certainly sounds impressive and like he knows what he wants from his side.
Although I do think today was a bit of a no-lose situation for whoever was in charge of the team - the next few (more winnable) games will tell us a bit more, IMO.

Agreed but I think he and his side have shown enough today for him to be given another game or two before the decision on a new manager is made.

Good post match interview and honest assessment, but as he says bottom line we lost and while this might be a hard place to come and get a result today was a failure. We are in desperate position so whoever is in charge we need to start winning games soon.
