Two things - a. why is keith brookman interviewing for that lot and b. I literally could not listen to that every week I didn't even realise it was Keith Brookman until you mentioned it. Bit odd, but perhaps Hoskin and Hadwin were both unavailable at the time? Michael Flynn is the Newport manager. Done a great job there so far, but it is his home town club, so that probably adds an extra edge to him being there. hah I was only joking about Keith!!! Sound very similar!
Thanks for the Flynn info

Seems like a top bloke and most importantly out of that for me was “ I wanted us to use width , two right footers on the right and two left footers on the left” This as I’ve said many times this season has been our biggest downfall all season playing players on the wrong sides has made our play predictable and narrow . I wasn’t there today but it sounded like we made use of that width and Sunderland knew they were in a game. Give him the fleetwood game and a chance to go again , early signs are good with this bloke as he’s clearly identified what’s been the biggest problem and corrected it in his very first game , and thank f**k for that. UTG. I did think of your posts when coughlan gave his interview. We still lost though so in no way is it clear that he has corrected the "biggest problem" at the moment.

At least it was a narrow loss in terms of performance and goals, not like recent away games. I guess having two left footers on the left explains the odd decision to play THD on the wing. Not sure that was anymore of a success though than playing Bennett out there from the start.

Indeed we still lost but did give one of the best sides in the division who have probably got the biggest budget too a good close game. It’s a decent start and I’m looking forward to seeing us play some good wide attacking football at the Mem on Saturday for a change. I think the fact that he played a left back on the left wing just proves how narrow the recruitment was in the summer. We’re very short of quick naturally wide players at the club but it sounded as if he did ok today and came through without any knocks.UTG.

Thought sercs came off holding his groin, so that could be 2-3 weeks out.

Gary Waddock the latest name to be linked to the job - main story on the front of tomorrow’s non-league paper.
The story even suggests an announcement could be made before Thursday?!

Inexperience would usually worry me but comes across very well both to me. I noticed him myself in the betting earlier but didn't read up about him, I'd certainly rather go for someone like that than Fowler.

I wouldn't be surprised if that has sprouted from someone reading your suggestion of him on here.

I think they mean an announcement of him leaving the Shots could be made before Tuesday.

Interestingly, Flynn is the new favourite on Skybet, overtaking Cotterill.

I'd be pretty disappointed if Waddock was placed in charge. His success seems to come in waves, as does his "indifferent" spells in management. He did well at Aldershot last season, but they've not been doing well this season. His last spells in management in the football league weren't great either. I think he's a decent enough manager, but wouldn't be my choice to get us out of the mess we're in.
