Surely not. I expect he has applied but would be amazed if he got it. Please no , not Waddock Cotterill or Flynn. Its easy to say who you don't want but who do you want?

Waddock makes a lot of sense. I don’t think he’d be a bad appointment but not the best.
Although this rumour has a lot of legs because he is used to working on a shoestring and I imagine the Al Qadis would love that on his CV

Yeah but waddock is on a 12 month rolling contract so it wouldn’t be much... and they could offer him smaller wages than the other managers mentioned here.

We need a Manager who is experienced with success at THIS level and an up to date knowledge of players and even more important plays an attractive style of football and preferably one who builds a team in the longer term based on strong physical players in vital positions and also injects some pace into the side. Most of the teams in this division have those qualities whereas we don't.

Perhaps when the new manager comes in and results don’t change , those who wanted DC out so much might actually think again !

You honestly think DCs best mate will come here? Waddock isn’t the man for us right now. Cottrell isn’t the right man. I want a young dynamic forward thinking manager like Danny Cowley or how pirate called it, Ben Garner. And if we go down give him the tools and backing to bounce straight back up again. If we were going to go experience I would say Ollie for 6 months just to drag us up.

Isn’t Paul Hurst a very close friend of DC ? I thought DC said a few weeks ago he was best man at his wedding too ?

Why all the "not Cotterill comments" is it just because he managed Bristol Sport 1982 ltd that share their ground with the Bears? Did you never listen to his 'after match' interviews on Radio Bristol? The man is a clown! I lost count of the number of times he blamed his teams losses on the grass being 1. Too long 2: Too short 3:Too green ............(okay, maybe just No.1 but he is still a clown!). I have nothing against him being an ex Ted manager. In fact, our board could learn a lot from them. Their owner stuck by Squeaky -even when it looked they would definitely get relegated, their owner promised a new stadium and funds for players...so did ours but ours lied!! All we want at the club is honesty and openness (DC had it in bucket loads - that's why the Board had to get rid of him!). We don't want Clotterill. I'd be happy with Robbie Fowler over Clott. Come to think of it, I'd be happier with Peppa Pig rather than Clotterill!!

Historically as a club we’ve never been that great at having contacts from upper championship/Premier league (although I think we had a mini one with West Brom under PT).
Simply, we just don’t have the networking/infrastructure.
If we want to try and move forward then unfortunately I don’t think a manager who knows the conference inside out will cut it. I love DC but his signings post conference/L2 haven’t been good enough.
I’d like someone who as a coach/player/manager has contacts up the hierarchy, rather than further down
