It would be massively underwhelming for me. Would rather have stuck with DC than appoint him.

Would rather have stuck with DC than appoint him. your right,he’s not flying high in the national league so can’t see him turning it around here just cause he’s a ex player Garner or fowler just for the fact he would have good contacts and would bring in some decent players I fear if we go cheap it will cost us more in the long term

Looking at the current list, all apart from one have a quality I’d be looking for in the next manager.
They are not Steve Cotterill.

Everyone’s having a go at waddock unduly.
Aldershot have an injury crisis with 12 players out on long term injuries. They named 2 subs on saturday.
They lack physio and other key backroom staff and have lacked funds for a very long time. He got them to the playoffs last year and challenged before then.
He got Wycombe promoted to League One in 2011. Has overachieved for years with dire resources.
Our budget would be positively luxurious to him. Former player so knows what the club’s about. He’d be cheap wages and only has 6 months on his current contract. The others on that list would command higher wages. The Al Qadis like a bargain price. Aldershot also have ties with Chelsea - the U21 team play at Aldershot’s recreation ground and they donated Stamford Bridge’s pitch to them when they replaced it. The links are all there.
I would be happy with his appointment, having a good knowledge of his work at Aldershot through a mate of mine. He plays (or at least tries to at Aldershot) exciting football.

even the shots fans want rid of him Pretty sure they don’t. He’s the asset they have above all else. Don’t think any other manager could do better with a fit squad of 13 players.

Just don’t think the forums are a good place to base your opinions on a manager. Although i didn’t realise they were turning on him just yet but they seem to be.

Got Wycombe promoted to League 1 in 2011 and has plenty of contacts. His loan phonebook is the reason aldershot are still functioning as a club at this moment in time.

He is much more linked to us than that. Wael would LOVE the idea of connecting us up with some chelsea u21s

He is much more linked to us than that. Wael would LOVE the idea of connecting us up with some chelsea u21s we've had some Chelsea u21s already

I don’t know for certain he has connections at chelsea but with them playing their games there and whatnot i’m sure he’s at least got his eye on the players and would know if we could afford any which ones to go for

If we are looking to managers from that level then I would much prefer Daryl McMahon.
