How about Holloway as DOF and a younger prospect under him. The new Lennie and trolls! Holloway to battle the board and a younger gun to focus purely on footballing matters. I wouldn't mind a Head Coach & DOF style setup, but I just can't see Ollie in a DOF role. He's more of a motivator in my eyes, rather than an overseeing strategist. Of course I may be doing him a disservice but I don't see it. Wouldn't want Holloway anywhere near a new set up personally. Flynn for me.

Holloway & Penrice caretakers until the end of the season; would also be happy with Garry Waddock full time. All three top Gasheads

Sorry if this has been asked before, not back to WSM until tomorrow, so not trawled back through messages. My question is, who will make the decision. Wael, the Chairman or the CEO. I know who I would NOT trust. With th greatest of respect why don't you say who you wouldnae trust an why? Instead of fannying about with all this innuendo bullsh1t!

I'd just like to say that I met Severncider after the match in the hotel adjacent to the Stadium of Light. It was nice to be able to put a name to a face and I have to say he came across as a very pleasant older gentleman, absolutely the last person you would say is a forum user. My impression is he wouldn't post anything he didn't believe to be true, but probably quietly enjoys leaving fairly cryptic messages that generate discussion and debate. Just my assessment from a few minutes conversation.

Hargreaves. Surprised he's not getting a mention, he already here, he knows the players, and he managed at Torquay and comes across well. Certainly the best qualified of our current staff. He lasted a year at Torquay and wasn't very good. He didn’t last too long but the budget was cut drastically in their first year out if I remember rightly. Even NickH despite everything supported DC in our season in the NL. Hargreaves wasn’t as well supported at Torquay and tbf they started off very well and we’re up with us in the Autumn before falling away as winter came. His one season with them in the NL was their best before they went down again I think. And even Gerry F failed in his first job at Exeter. I think he could do a good job if given the opportunity. Despite all our posts and everything do you think an appointment before the new year or are they going to take their time? I would have thought there was an urgency but perhaps they don’t. UTG!

I think the appointment will be made early January, but I would personally like it to be earlier than that. Get it done asap and let the new man get cracking.

It’ll be pathetic if it takes until January for an appointment to be made, IMO (but I can see that happening).

You know it’s going to be half way through the blooming transfer window of course - wonder if we will have any bids in? Be worrying if others were sold too! That’s when it will kick off! Lol!

If we are looking to managers from that level then I would much prefer Daryl McMahon. At National level what about Gerrard at Boreham Wood? Been steady progress there over a period. Did very well last season to get them to Wembley. Well supported by the family who own it but not massive budget on smallish crowds. UTG!

Surely not. I expect he has applied but would be amazed if he got it. Please no , not Waddock Cotterill or Flynn. They've made some great records. I particulary like the one about the Old Mans Goat

Personally , as a cumbrian with Carlisle being my childhood team I'm now gutted Keith Curle went to Northampton back in october, sure his experience was L2 but he did a good job at Carlisle and as far as i know was well respected, plus I never knew he was a Bristolian. and he used to play on the right wing for us

I've only just got back from Up North and off to watch Olly and Stan shortly. Have a few messages to post about the weekend, but that will have to be later.

I think we as supporters typing away on our keyboards are underestimating the interest in the club. I suspect they will get at least 50 CV's everyone from the grounds man at Saltash United to some quite famous names. Some we have heard of, and some we have not. It takes time. Must go as I have something to post!
