As much as I hate Wycombe and desperate to beat them, not winning today may be a slightly good thing to make the board and GC realise we need more quality. get what you are saying but I suspect the only positive difference to the board a loss today would have been is if they had a massive bet on Wycombe to win. Even then if you think they would use that money to buy anything I think you're wrong. Worst thing about this is that there's always some little tosspot from Wycombes forum that turns up on here after a game. Look forward to that.

Just had a quick look at the Swindon forum - they are already loving big Tom - good left foot, plays a great ball out. How we miss someone like that!!!!

Also, that busts the myth of playing a settled team and classic 442. Proving yet again the GasChat football managers know absolutely nothing.

To be fair, you can see why they gave Cocko the job, sadly judging by the way the goals have dried up again it looks like they were too quick to act- they could have held their nerve til mid Jan and would have been given a lot more food for thought. Mind you I doubt they would have paid decent money for anyone- the cheap option was probably an inevitability.

The fact that GC has declared himself happy with the budget and facilities available to him shows exactly why he’s been appointed. Nothing against him, he’s a passionate and honest bloke by the looks of things. But any new manager would have probably challenged the boars for more money and better facilities and this Board do not want that.

This game is so typical of most at home this Season with a team just not capable of imposing themselves on their opponents, lacking in desire to win and the required effort. The Players knew how important it was to win but they simply just did not show up. No goals in 3 games and little prospect of an improvement. We played as if we were already relegated.

As much as I hate Wycombe and desperate to beat them, not winning today may be a slightly good thing to make the board and GC realise we need more quality. Win, draw or lose today against a team I despise as much as anyone, any one result against any single team is meaningless. Win today we're still in major trouble, need at least one (probably two) strikers, a couple of attacking midfielders and probably two defenders to climb to safety. Todays result was irrelevant. If they don't already realise the problems that exist (and I genuinely think that they either don't understand or don't care) then zero points is the same as three to them.....

Blimey. Clueless home team, cynical away team, sh**e ref. That was a perfect storm of unfootball.

Also the problem all season has been scoring. A striker should have been lined up to join us at the start of the window REGARDLESS of budget or who was in charge. We have a head of recruitment now and the board should have tasked him with finding a striker. Even if it was a free transfer on a tenner a month and he was total dogshite at least the effort would have been made.
