still doubt it will happen, but you never know. Wonder if it would act for a catalyst for other people to get on board.
Labour ignoring BREXIT have big issues regarding anti-Semitism as we know and any splits currently play into the hands of the Tories.
Anyway we need a name so starter for 10?
Democratic Labour? Centreist Labour Party?

Luciana Berger, Liverpool Wavertree MP, is speaking. She says the MPs have made a "painful but necessary" decision.
"From today, we will all sit in parliament as a new, independent group of MPs," she says.

Seven MPs have resigned from the Labour Party in protest at Jeremy Corbyn's approach to Brexit and anti-Semitism.
The seven - who are calling themselves the Independent group are: Chuka Umunna, Luciana Berger, Chris Leslie, Angela Smith, Mike Gapes, Gavin Shuker and Ann Coffey.

How about The new party of ex labour mp's who failed to oust corbyn despite him being elected as leader twice by the party party ,admittedly it would require a ballot paper of its own to get the name on

It's a bit of a non-event to be honest.
However, the main point of interest is in the fact that a Jewish female MP has been hounded out of the Labour Party, not for her political beliefs, but because of her religion.
Just stop and let that sink in for a few minutes.

Corbyn's biographer had some interesting thoughts in his Sky News interview earlier. I'm sure it may be of interest to some and will presumably be available on their website or social media?

You've got to love these feckin hypocrites.....
Independent Group MPs regarding a second referendum....
We need another EU referendum because the facts have changed!
Independent Group MPs regarding their seats......
We're not calling by-elections because we already won a previous vote

Independent Group MPs regarding their seats...... We're not calling by-elections because we already won a previous vote Or the hypocrite McDonnel saying they should stand in a by-election, however being in Gaol for offences means you can keep your seat despite not being there to represent your constituents
I think though the independent group are doing the right thing in the sense that in order to have any chance of changing the political landscape and potentially creating a new centrist party they need to be in parliament and gain some traction that might encourage some Tories to jump ship and maybe more Labour ones.
If they stand down and the Momentum mob start their games, they could lose their seats and who knows what crackpots might get voted in. Labour themselves need to be careful. They have mentioned splitting the vote. Would they rather have 7 rebel MPS in parliament they can work with on some issues or risk letting a Tory in?
How long does a by-election take to organise anyway? If they resign there seat now, then my understanding is their are 7 less seats in parliament which could be vital in the Withdrawal vote

I really don't think this will change the political landscape. After all, one of their main complaints is Brexit, and they want a second referendum, when I think it's quite clear that the majority are not interested in a second referendum.

I dont think much will change and if anything, their political careers could be over, so to leave is a brave move, but if the best thing that comes out of it, is Labour sorting its house out then it may be worth it to have ruffled some feathers. If they are serious. There best hope is to merge with the Lib Dems in some form
