I'd vote for a reasonable, centerist party. But this is not really a Centerist Party is it........it's more a collection of people who either a/ want to overturn the result of the referendum, and b/ people who are sick to the back teeth with the direction that Labour have taken. Well I don't care for the direction Labour has taken and I'm not particularly keen on us leaving the EU either so....

Count me in on that. Would love a couple of principled leave believing MPs to join the group to expand the debate. You mean in the same way that Corbyn was added to the list of potential Labour leaders? Wasn't that done to 'widen the debate'. That turned out well didn't it ! Not sure what relevance Corbyn has to this considering the shambles he has lead the Labour Party into. My point is that any true centrist party must have a policy debate which encompasses all view points and concludes on evidence. Something sadly missing from the current Tory and Labour ranks.

That's not going to happen though is it ! It's becoming a home for those that want to overturn the referendum result. That can only end badly I feel.

But the Brexit debate is becoming more nuanced than the Rees Mogg led leave at all costs to the stay as if nothing has changed view from the Lib Dems. A lot has come out and whether people like you and I agree or not there can be no doubt people are far better informed. I would like to see this newly informed view properly represented. Neither the Tories nor Labour have the dexterity to do this.

I thought the three Tories were very damming of the Tory Party, claiming it's been hijacked by the right. The mirror image of the Labour Party, which has been hijacked by the left.

Leave it out fer chrissakes. The Tories have not been hi-jacked by the right. It is in no way the mirror image of the Labour disaster.

I am watching a minister now from the Government, Tobias Ellwood, actually stating that the ERG have done exactly that.

The major party's are full of self serving MPs and completely out of touch with the population,as more of us become disenfranchised I fear for our democracy as it opens the door for extremists on both the left and right.

In reality they represent an ideological commitment to style of economic and social administration which they would not dare to put to the test of an election as an individual party, so they have hijacked the Referendum result to further their aims.

They blamed ERG, UKIPIZATION and the far right of the Tory party.

Ummm, no. The ERG are all back benchers. The group has been around since the nineties. I think the name, European Research Group indicates what their level of interest is. They support Brexit and not May's BRINO deal.

They support "A" Brexit, not one articulated by the main leave campaigners in 2016.

They just now have the opportunity they have been craving, with a combination of the referendum result and a weak PM snared in a minority government.

The stars have alligned for them with the referendum result, Mays failed GE bid and a worthless opposition
