Yeah, but if you speak spanish, you'd know that the commentator was saying, 'What a lady garden, that prick's a f**king disgrace.' That penalty from Messi was also disgraceful. I very much doubt the commentator would say that as he'd of lost his job. I bet there was a fair few passionate Argentinians shouting something along those lines at their TV though. Just like I heard Spurs fans doing the same thing when Eric Dier blasted over against Chelsea recently.

Bit off-topic but I gotta say thank Christ we don't have some knobhead ringing a bell for 90 minutes at the Mem. Sounds bloody ridiculous and I can't imagine what it must be like to be sat next to the person.

That penalty is also a disgrace. What did you expect me to say? Oh ok then, as it's Messi it's actually a good penalty? So what is your minimum expectation from a striker taking a penalty? To be able to kick the ball?

Look stuff happens in football and pens are missed on a regular basis ,me i would change the taker for 2ond ones and i dont like lefties taking them ! but who knows what would have happened if we had scored it? it may have woken Pompey and they may have gone hell for leather at us and we may have crumbled under the pressure but it was a point gained ,a bloody good one and another small step to survival, now turn up at The Mem Sat for the game of the season both for atmosphere and performance , not sure if we will win , but dont miss it!If Jester starts the thread we aint gonna lose and if the Gods are with us we might well cause a surprise, dont let the 'LIBRARY' tag be labelled at our crowd Saturday we must all be up for it from the off!we now have a team who are up for the fight the manager certainly is ,are we ready , you bet ,come on Rovers!!! OK Halifax, I'll do what I can............but if somebody gets in before me?? It's on their head!!

Don't like doing it early, before I get an idea of who's in/out for the us/opposition and it stops markcz having a 'go' at me for starting it early!

Well I bet you JCH won’t miss a pen like that anytime soon, he went for the pile driver to change up from his first and messed it up, I don’t hold against him and I bet he gives Sunderland absolutely bags of trouble, that’s what we need, I’ve been saying our full backs are a weakness all season now so couldn’t be happier that THD is playing LB, and god willing we’ll sign a good RB in August

If we had someone of equal quality to THD on the right we don't concede that goal at Pompey.

It was he that stopped Bogle getting a head to it. It was their left winger that got lucky. He should have been at the far post not 20 yards wider. Parts can’t be everywhere.

Maybe but after 2 seasons I’ve come to the conclusion that Partingron is no where good enough for league 1 and also injury prone. If we’re going to stay up this season and next then we need better. Not sure where leads is but he’s injury prone and can’t defend either.

And tbf to Joe P he had a good match and when he passed it was usually to one of ours. He was a midfielder converted to a CH and then converted again at Eastleigh to a RB. We’ve only played him at RB I think. I guess he’s one of those versatile players who clubs in the lower leagues like because he gives a 6/10 performance for most of his matches without being brilliant. And on Tuesday night I didn’t think he allowed much to threaten us down that side although I know you could say the ball in for the goal was from Pompeys left, but it wasn’t his fault. UTG!

UTG! istr he played centre back for us for a game (and made a howler for a goal) can't remember who against, though. And istr we played him as a deep CM for a couple of games.

I think he was at fault a bit for their goal due to him being in front of the crosser and not getting close enough or making an effort to stop the cross for Clarke’s OG. Doesn’t get stuck in enough and is a bit weedy for a defender. Good passer of the ball at times and he has had decent games but looks a league 2 or conference player to me. Add to that all his injuries and he’s just not good enough. Thing is if we’d signed the left winger we so badly need them HD wouldn’t have had to play there and then James Clarke could have played right back. Not having that left winger is having a knock on effect throughout the team. Just an observation, we’re doing well and I hope our run of form keeps going because we’ll finish mid table if it does.

Not sure THD would have coped any better keeping the ball out of the goal as one of JC's strengths is normally in the air, Bogle's a bit of an oddity, as for a big guy he seems to like to play out wide rather than down the centre like a typical CF where Locks or TC would have marked him. GC mentioned post match about us not doubling on the goal post for the goal, I assume that comment was aimed at TC rather than JC.

I'm not we needed a left winger then, but we do now as Coughlan let Bennett go. Bennett hasn't had a good season, but with THD at left back (as most would probably like to see), his ability to overlap and provide the width we need just might have brought the best out of Bennett again. Bennett was far more effective when he played with Lee Brown, who also had that ability to provide width. Coughlan has done OK so far and has certainly done some good business, but letting Bennett go was a mistake, in my opinion.
