Here you go boys!! I knew GGMI couldn't/wouldn't resist the temptation! (Nice One GGMI!). I thought this would be the one and only Sunderland AFC Matchday thread and I'm afraid I'm going for, a head says, 2-2 but, a heart says, sneaky 2-1 win! I hope one of us and both of us are right GGMI? Suspect GC will go with the same team as started Pompey, although he might just substitute Ollie for Ed?
As long as we don't lose, everyone's a winner!

Ollie in and a 2-1 win for me giving Sunderland only their 3rd loss of the season. Sets us up great for the Checkertrade match. Hopefully Sunderland will play a weakened side as desperate for automatics and we do a home double - I can only dream

Would bite your hand off for the draw, but would love to see a spirit lifting win.
We can have a trade off, let us have the 3 points Saturday and they can have the cup game Tuesday week.

Somebody tell me what day is it please! i am what used to be known as one of radio 2s TOGS and its hard enough figuring out what day it is without throwing in 'match day' threads on any random day ! so we will call this 'and the other one' build ups! and Jester set your alarm for 23.59 on Friday so you are first with match day thread on Sat! anyway i go along with Jester prediction, though Sunderland only lost twice they have drawn an awful lot and i reckon sat will see the best game of the season at the mem(not a lot to beat!)great atmosphere and we now have the fighting spirit to get a point at least and may be more!Mods do your job and make sure the court of king Jester rules on Sat! PS like the banter twixt the originator and his protagonist!

On the Sunderland forum they seem more concerned about downing 20 pints along the Gloucester Road than the match itself.
Perhaps they're just assuming they'll win.
Let's show 'em we're just a bit average and not really poor.
1-0 Gas.

Have a mate who supports Sunderland he tells me once they get a goal they tend to sit back away from home, with that being said, I’m going to be positive and say a 2-1 win!

I'm going for 2-1 win. Reilly and Sercs to score. Sadly I'm missing this game due to being on holiday.
Really hope the lads can replicate our away form at home. Would love the mem to return to the fortress that it uses to be for the rest of the season.
UTG!

Time to support Jester's thread. He's got the Lucky Heather touch. Time for the Mods to delete all the others.
Oop the Jester!
