I think the "white nutters" are just as scary going forward tbh. It's a natural pre-conceived perception of many that "terrorism - it must be Muslims!" blah blah blah but things like this, the Norwegian terror attack from 2011 and no doubt many more examples are shuddering.

This is what happens when people blame Muslims for acts of terror orchestrated by individuals who happen to be Muslim. Even if they do them in the name of that religion. Ignorance breeds fear, fear breeds hate and hate leads to the dark side.

I know it just seems to get worse. White nutters, Islamic nutters what do we do? Lower the threshold for terror related convictions. Even a sniff of extremism should result in a life sentence - that's the only way to guarantee an individual cannot carry out an attack. About time we (and other countries) started putting the law abiding general public ahead of this type of scum. There will obviously be some that slip under the radar but more often than not the perpetrators will have come to the attention of security forces or other agencies in the past. |

Saw the actual footage of the gunman shooting earlier and it is truly shocking....There is no excuse or reason for this senseless attack and may now result in a spate of revenge killings.
Its no secret I am no fan of Islam but terrorism is not the answer and butchering innocent people in a place of worship where they should feel safe is abhorrent.The mosque itself has no history of radicalisation and no hate preachers have been invited to speak there.

Politicians in many countries have taken decisions which put us civilians in danger. It is unreasonable, in fact stupid and naive, to move such a large body of people from countries of such different cultures and religion into these countries without any reaction. So we get mass murder from both sides. Even parochially on a different level we have been abandoned by our government: no police support for victims of robbery, shoplifting, car crime, gang control, fraud, drugs, murder, assault etc unless of course it is sex related or against a minority group. That is all reality and no amount of holiding hands, clapping or lighting candles will help.
Reacting to this with violence is not the solution because there is no solution. We are screwed.
