Would like to see Kilgour play. If we move JC in the middle, that will be 2 changes to the set up and I think we need to keep it as settled as possible. The Reading defender was on the bench again recently, so might be fit again. So GC might opt for him instead. Kilgour on bench last game but not Osho. Yes plus when they were both on the bench, Kilgour came on before him. So he might have moved ahead of him in the pecking order now. Just saying he's another option of fit and GC might opt for him. Personally would rather see Kilgour, as he's our player and I'm interested to see how he's developing.

There's an interesting thread on PASOTI about why they aren't a more successful club than they are. Apparently it's because the new stadium developments will only take it up to 18.5k capacity (we wish), the south west/west country is a footballing backwater, and Bristol City have only managed it because they are funded by a squillionaire. www.pasoti.co.uk/talk/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=106907Good read, this (likewise Hugo's insightful Q&A). FWIW, I think Plymouth has the potential to be much bigger than they are but then so do we and so do many clubs. Unfortunately we don't all get billionaires to spunk off their fortunes on us...

There might be some options on the darkweb for that sort of thing..

I wouldn't agree with change for the sake of it to just to see how Kilgour is developing and breaking up the highly successful and season saving Locks and Craig partnership in the process. However, since change is being forced upon us I would go with Kilgour as, like you say, he's ours, is highly thought of and it will help us determine whether he is a long term replacement when Locks or Craig are no longer playing for us. Sometimes these enforced changes produce an unexpected diamond - about time we had one of them!

Kilgour and Osho both playing for development squad against Posh today, bit of a trial and I imagine GC is watching carefully. Not going too well as already conceded 4 before half time😟 Scoring a goal today will have helped Kilgour and he must be ahead of Osho in the race for a starting spot?

Its possible that james clarke will partner tony craig at plymouth with holmes-dennis going to right-back.

Would have thought Parts would have had a run out today if he was anywhere near fit? As far as THD playing RB as he ever played on the right before?

As posted on the 'Kilgour' thread, Russe played RB for the Dev squad today in a 4-4 v Posh, Kilgour was CB. I assume this means that neither Parts or Leads are anywhere near fit, so perhaps Russe is being considered for Saturday at RB, and moving James Clarke alongside Craig in the middle? It seems to me the choice is between leaving Clarke at RB and putting Kilgour in at Centre back alongside Craig, or Russe at RB with Clarke and Craig as centre backs. A difficult decision on which youngster to play whichever way. We are struggling at the back with injuries.

IMO Tariq Holmes-Dennis to play left back if fit, Kelly is a good deputy, but when fit, THD is the real deal. I guess Clarke will partner TC at centre-back, it would be nice to see Russe have a game at right-back, after all this position is definitely up for grabs.

By special request the earliest match day thread ever! I see Roger East a Premier League referee is in charge for this weekends game. Gasheads will be delighted to know Devon's finest, Brett Huxtable is the fourth official! UTG! I don't know why Huxtable gets singled out. He's no worse than the rest of them, is it just because he's local?

Don't think he's been recalled, so think he was just doing a job for the development side. Can't see us playing him at right back for the first team and moving JC. When we can bring a centre back in and just make one defensive change.

As I posted earlier in this thread, I also think we should make the minimum changes to the back four; Clarke J - Kilgour - Craig - Kelly THD can then play Left side midfield/diamond and drop back into defence if needed later in the game, if Kelly has to go off for example.

Roger East is a really nice bloke, however he always over compensates when he referees Rovers, can't ever recall a win under his control. Here's hoping for a change in circumstances.

Looking forward to this one immensely. We had a superb first half down there 12months ago, Lines & Ellis finding the net but that was all undone with some farcical referring in the second 45. Two very very soft penalties for them (1 missed, 1 scored) and Harrison being dragged down on a last man challenge, to which we didn’t even get a free kick let alone the stonewall red card. Adams antagonising the away end after the ref had already left the pitch, was the icing on the cake of a very bad (and bitterly cold) afternoon. Time to put that right with a 3-0 win. I remember it well....and the tosser of a Muff fan who ran onto the pitch goading us away fans which sparked a mini riot! Unfortunately I can't go this time due to a family commitment I can't get out of but this is probably one of the games at the top of my list that I want us to get a win. Let's hope GC and the boys can keep the fantastic away form going and bring us back 3 points. UTG!
